I have had the pleasure of eating at the Marmora inn twice and was shocked at how amazing a place this really is. I moved to Marmora not to long ago and am so happy to have such a wonderful place seconds from my home. If you haven't eaten here you are sadly missing out. View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about The Marmora Inn:
The owners have sold the building and the restaurant is now closed. Unfortunately, there is nothing more to say than to try another place. The Riverview Restaurant in Campbellford and Jack's in Norwood are good options to consider. View all feedback.
I have not stayed here overnight, but I have had many delightful, exquisite meals! The owner is a chef from Toronto area, and his creations are a MUST to have! The house has such charm! You can also rent the indoor pool area for parties.....although I did once for a child's birthday party and the owner was a bit uptight so it put a damper on our party. If you are looking for peace and quiet combined with fine dining.....you won't be disappointed!!
Large choice of starters and main dishes, Well balanced in fish and different types of meat dishes. Well cooked, Well seasoned & Well served.
The owner is also the cook. Italian-Portugese manu, cooked to perfection. we were so full, we could not even try the deserts. Excellent selection of wine. Perfect for romantic night and absolutely not expected to find such a fine place in a small town.
We live in an area where there are few fine dining establishments within a reasonable driving distance. The Marmora Inn is certainly filling a much needed gap! Friends introduced us to the Crowe and the Beaver dining room. We were greeted by the owner of the inn who is also the chef. He's Portuguese and the menu offers some nice dishes from Portugal. There is a good selection of shellfish and fish. Everything from the appetizers to dessert is beautifully presented. The dining room is small and the inn itself is more than 100 years old on a side street just off Highway 7. We will certainly be back when we have friends visiting the area.
