Josil Sushi bar - Máncora

Seeing so many positive reviews I got my expectation real high, but this restaurant was unfortunately very disappointing. Almost all of their all you can eat sushi has cream cheese in it, which is not authentic at all. To make things worse, they only had 2 items out of all sashimi menu. I ordered a sushi roll, it says fried shrimp on the menu, but when it served, the chef changed it to fried tuna without telling me, (which tastes suspiciously like fried chicken), when I questioned it, not only did they not apologize, they gave me an "we are out of shrimp, what do you want me to do" attitude. Also the rice was too thick for my liking.

Its really diffucult to find this place if you don't know spanish and how to ask for directions. To find it you it you walk past all beach bars where all surfers are at. Look to your left and you will see a sign poiting you in the right direction. It is totally worth it and I can really recommend everyone to eat some sushi here. Probably one of the best tuna I've ever had. It melts in your mouth. It took a while to get your food, but afterwards I understood why. It was amazing. A hidden gem in Mancora :)

What more could you possibly ask for?The sushi was delicious, the staff friendly and funny. They didn't have the ingredients to make the drinks we asked for, so one of the employees actually left- only to come back 5 minutes later with the ingredients and whip up our cocktails :) Great place to eat, but if you get the all you can eat- prepare for a sushi coma!

Despite irregular opening hours and an obvious lack of staff the food is excellent. I recommend the terriyaki maki roll. reasonable prices for sushi, extended menu. All you can eat for 40 sols.
