a place that deserves a 5-star evaluation for eating that they serve. as they say, it is the law of attraction to work. our hotel was just a hop and a jump from chinatown to some and so we rode there on my first day looking for a place to eat. there are some restaurants here, but I don't know why we chose happy seasons. a clean brighter cheerful place that is dizzying with activities, and we had happy to have gotten... a busy unpretentious restaurant not be deceived by the tired facility, this a large small place visited on a Saturday afternoon and place was practically full of the dim sum are great good portions and great worth noticed also, it seemed quite a few local Chinese customers who were a good sign when we left the people were waiting to get a good portion good eaten while other restaurants nearby were empty View all feedback.
I decided to check out this restaurant based on its great reviews and my appreciation for British-style Chinese cuisine. I arrived at 4:45 pm and had to wait about ten minutes for a table, which wasn't surprising given that most reviewers had mentioned a wait. I was instructed to wait outside as there was no lobby, which was a bit inconvenient due to the chilly weather. The decor was simple and reminded me of restaurants in London's Chinatown, but it was clean. I had shrimp toast as an appetizer, which was decent, and the hot and sour soup was good but a bit thin. The sweet and sour pork for my main dish was outstanding, with a good balance of flavors and ingredients like onions, carrots, pineapple, and peppers. It was served with tasty egg fried rice. Service was typical for a Chinese restaurant-polite but not very talkative. My food took a bit longer than others' orders, but it was worth the wait. The prices were reasonable for the quality of the food. Overall, a great option for above-average Chinese cuisine without a luxurious atmosphere.
Really nice tasty food staff were super friendly. Duck is the best dish! Prices are average for the area. Pork slightly on the salty side.
We went close to closing and could only order takeout. The service was excellent and the food delicious. Got the crispy duck, kai choi in garlic and spicy beef. Good portions and value for money. Would have loved to eat in. The next time.
I don't understand the appeal of this restaurant. We waited a long time outside and were thrilled when we finally got a table. However, the food was disappointing for the price we paid. It was the most tasteless dish I've ever tried. Maybe I made a wrong choice in ordering. The staff was friendly, but unfortunately, I will not be returning.
The services are very unprofessional and no sense of humanity, It was heavy raining and cold; I was asking whether we (me, wife and 2 children) can wait inside until their staffs finished meals. The old lady has no mercy and she told us to wait outside instead for 20 minutes in such weather. We decided to eat somewhere else. The following day, we came for lunch, the table was small and we were asking one extra chair to put our bags/stuff, the waiter (lady with short hair) insisted us to put our bags on the table. I was asking her how we are going to eat if we put our bags on the table. She didn't care and even worst she moved the nearest chair to make sure we could not use it. In fact, there were unused chairs where they put into stacks. We decided to leave the restaurant and would never ever come back again. It seems all the staffs are so arrogant, maybe they think they are the best restaurant. Perhaps, they never see outside manchester/UK whereas many better chinese reataurant with more profesional services. Do not overconfident so that they can treat customers in such way.
