Delicious food! Best Indian Restaurant in Seattle! I've had Chawla's food back in Punjab, India and loved it. They make authentic Indian curries and dishes. I was thrilled to find one today in Seattle as well. I gave it a try and loved it. This restaurant sells authentic North Indian flavors and have maintained the quality well. What R S doesn't like about Chawlas2 Seattle:
I went there on the first week they opened. The portions were extremely small for takeout. They only gave 2 one cup servings of rice for 2 entrees. The curry had separated from the oil and there was hardly any chicken in the dish. I was excited for them to open, but I'm so disappointed. I will be not be returning as I've seen other reviews recently that show it hasn't improved. View all feedback.
Worst food, no flavor in the curries. The butter chicken, paneer Tikka masala and dal makhani we're all bad
Had a great lunch here today and will be coming back on Friday with a group for lunch. The staff was very friendly and the food very good. I had the butter chicken, which FYI does not have any dyes in it to make it look red like almost all American Indian food places. Dyes are ground upon in India and this stays true to that thought process. The butter chicken was very flavorful and tender. Just the right spice but I could go a little spicier next time. I like that they have plenty of options on the menu. Looking forward to my next visit.

Right now folks, I am pleasantly plump. Very, very pleasantly plump. Why am I pleasantly plump, you might ask? I just had dinner at this new restaurant on Lake City Way in NE Seattle-Chawlas2. Now let me tell you. Their Mutton Rara is OUTSTANDING!!! The meat samosas and garlic naan bread were like the icing on the cake. Everything was so FRESH and FLAVORFUL!!! Do yourself a favor and just go check these guys out. SERIOUSLY.
