If you are traveling through smaller towns in IL, you will see this chain of family restaurants. They are very popular with locals and travelers alike. This one had private booths and individual tables, as well as a long center table where people can easily mix and meet new people. It was absolutely slammed with customers when we were there. The staff was very friendly and conversational. And the food was good. View all feedback.
What ready413 doesn't like about Hen House Family:
Would have loved to have been able to rate my experience here; but aside from having the hostess roll her eyes at me, when I walked in, and being told to sit at any clean table. I had no further interactions here. Sat there for 20 minutes waiting to get a menu. Two tables that walked in 5 and 7 minutes after me, got served. This place is awesome. Great service and food is wonderful.
This is one of our favorites. A red barn, the best wait staff ever (including being funny and sassy at times! and delicious food.

Drive 20 miles down the road and eat at Woody's in LeRoy. They greeted me with a smile and served me immediately.
