Lizard Cafe - Madryn

Had a nice drop. had a great juce drink, lemon balm, best in Argentinia so far! fast Wi-Fi, nice staff. comes back.

We went in for pizza and found it did not have any tomato on it, we asked for it and we were told there was definitely tomato under the cheese, still did not find any.

So after our Antartica Experience and on the ship again for days, we landed in Puerto Madryn. It reminded me so much of Miami Beach. We heard that the cafes had FREE WIFI and we found The Lizard Café with not only FREE WIFI...but great food. We sat there for about hours eating and catching up on our phones. Very nice way to spend the morning on a beautiful day. Highly recommend this café, great service, very nice server and good food.

Lizard Cafe proved to be the perfect place to relax on a warm Sunday morning. We sat at a shaded table outside the Cafe and watched people make their way to the nearby beach. Our waiter, after I asked a question in Spanish, responded in...English, brought our local beers I had an Antares Honey Beer and my wife ordered an OtroMundo Golden Ale both brews were served cold in icy mugs.The bowl of complimentary peanuts was fresh and tasty. We found the WIFI there to be free, fast and easy to access. Not a problem in the world.

Just attempted to have a quick lunch here. Totally disinterested waitress, who took mins to bring a menu. Didn't write down our order, after a very long wait brought the wrong empanada ! After another extremely long wait simply said it's in the...oven ! How long does it take to cook an empanada?? Finally gave up and asked for bill, she simply quoted an amount. When I asked for a detailed bill an extremely apologetic young woman came over and said there would be no charge at all for beer, water and salad, I have visited Argentina for more than years. Sadly the level of service in many restaurants has gone steadily down over this period. There was a time when waiters were efficient, courteous and professional. The young woman who served us in The Livzard was none of these. She shouldn't be employed as a waitress anywhere.
