Driving cross country with a colleague from Spain, we had high hopes for some high quality Spanish food when we saw the sign for the town of Madrid. Surely THIS town would have it. Boy were we wrong. Being hungry, we stopped at Country Kitchen and hoped for the best. Delicious paella? Nope. Homemade gazpacho soup? Not even on the menu. My companion Miguel started to get frustrated about the lack of food options from his motherland, but before we knew it, the hostess cheered Miguel up with a cold frosty Bud Light and some crisp fries. I bet they don't have that in gazpacho-slurping Madrid, Spain! I can't speak for Miguel, but I'll take the Country Kitchen of Madrid, Nebraska over any fancy pants establishment in Madrid, Spain. Que viva Country Kitchen!!
Really great Sunday buffet. All home made.....Fried chicken, mashed potatoes, shrimp, potato salad.....and a piece of cake for dessert.
Cherry makes the best food in Madrid! Home cooking at its finest.
Make your way to this place, you won't regret it!!!
Qaint small town cafe with good food and friendly people.
