Reviews summary

The Post pairs hotel polish with a warm, cozy dining room and Capitol Square views. Staff are consistently praised—attentive, friendly and accommodating—making it ideal for brunch (notably bottomless mimosas), breakfasts, family meals and catered events. Many guests love dishes like miso salmon and classic breakfasts, though food quality and cocktail service are reported as inconsistent by some. With outdoor sidewalk seating, accessibility, private-event capabilities and responsive catering, it’s an underrated, convenient spot for hotel guests, groups and brunch crowds, but drink offerings and bartending can be uneven.

Was Nick Chill at The Post a mag?

The Post restaurant was a standout feature of our stay at the Best Western Premier Park Hotel. The ambiance was spacious and welcoming, and the menu presented an excellent variety of choices. Both our dinner and breakfast were delightful, complemented by the drinks we tried. We particularly loved the breathtaking view of the Capitol building from our large window. View all feedback.

What Kiara Boggs dislikes about The Post:

Um, it looks fancier than it is. Had a large party so we got lots of dish varieties; none of them were good. The description of the dishes is not accurate to what gets delivered. It looked like microwave food, no seasoning, and they don't have professional bartenders for the bar that know basic cocktails. We had to awkwardly eat it anyway because it was a business dinner...Our server was really sweet and attentive, t... View all feedback.

We often dine at this restaurant because the food is outstanding, the service is warm and welcoming, and we are usually seated promptly. Additionally, we've brought our father here multiple times, and since he uses a wheelchair, we value how easy it is to enter and find a comfortable spot for us.

After exploring the farmers market on Saturday, we usually stop here for a mid-morning coffee and a light breakfast. The food is delightful, and the staff is excellent!

We tried several restaurants on a busy Saturday night with no luck. Stumbled upon this place and it was pretty empty. Not sure why because the food was solid and the service was great. I feel like this place is underrated. Would recommend but they def need a drink menu.

The Post is a terrific place to host (and dazzle) your nearest and dearest. We had a wonderful day-before-the-wedding, welcome appetizer and open bar event for our family and friends, and they raved about it! We were able to reserve a few tables, cater as much food as we wanted, and distribute wristbands so our guests could add drinks to our tab. Bharath (director of catering) was a joy to work with (professional, responsive, helpful) and there was no food/bev minimum, which seems unheard of is such a prime capitol-adjacent location. Highly recommended! And we'll certainly be back for a future event.

This hotel bar tends to be a bit slow, but it has enough staff for its needs. They offer a happy hour, and the bartenders also wait on the dining tables. The food portions are medium to large, catering mostly to adults. The burger comes with a generous patty, although it's not made from scratch. I personally enjoyed the steak sandwich, which features chunks of steak. The chicken nachos are topped with real shredded cheese and guacamole; they’re delicious but can become dry quickly if not consumed right away. The cheese curds are standard, served with a southwest ranch dressing that is just on the mild side. Overall, I would rate it 4 stars. Logically, it might deserve only 2 or 3 stars since there are better options nearby, but considering the type of place it is, they provide a solid experience. I can’t fault them for that.

What an incredible restaurant! I've been there three times—once with my dad, once with my wife, and once with my son. The atmosphere is cozy and welcoming, featuring a nice level of tranquility that makes it easy to have a conversation. The staff is friendly and very accommodating. The food is exceptional. They've also added outdoor seating on the sidewalk, providing a delightful view of Capitol Square. Overall, it's a fantastic spot to enjoy a meal. I highly recommend it!

Greeted as I walked in. Water and a menu delivered immediately. My breakfast arrived shortly after I ordered. 2 eggs over medium, 3 crispy slices of bacon, hash browns, and an English muffin all prepared perfectly. The server, Vishnu, was polite, professional, and attentive even though the restaurant was crowded.

It's a hotel restaurant, nice through though with good staff and good food. I had the miso salmon for dinner and found it delicious. I also had breakfast there the 2 eggs any style were great and so was the beyond sausage.
