Picked this place by luck and I wasn’t disappointed. The coffee was good and the food was surprisingly delicious. They have plenty parking and an upstairs area with additional seating. The seating area downstairs is a bit small and can get congested. You order at the front and they give you a card for your table and the order is brought to you. The food was great. No complaints there. Avocado toast with caramelised Brussel sprouts, cashew cream and sunflower seeds AMAZING! It is mostly order at the counter, take your number and find your own seat, get your own water, cream, utensils etc. But the minimum tipping prompt was 20%, 25% and 30% for food that is already quite expensive. Avocado toast at 14$+tax and coffee (no refills) at 2.75$+tax. If you wanted a refill, you have to go to the till, pay more money and get more yourself. For all this, I hope they at least pay 20$ an hour wages to their employees. Tipping nonsense when food is priced too high should be criminal.
Great place to grab a drink and breakfast food. Easy to get to on foot, bike, bus, or car.Items I’ve had that have been great are the Hella Stella sandwich, the Basic BEC (sub Stella’s cheesy bread, worth the up charge), breakfast burrito, mint cold brew, and London Fog
Wanted to have an Eggs Benedict in Madison. Found the place open in the morning and walked down to the place. Great experience. Positive attitude if the staff Benedict was amazing along with the coffee and orange juice.Food: 5/5
I purchased the cold brew blend beans. It made a delicious cold brew. Brewed a concentrate and it was rich and chocolaty. Ordered a sandwich with greens to go. The turkey on the sandwich was thick sliced and not dry at all. This place was recommended to me by a local, and it didn't disappoint! I will come here any chance I get.Food: 5/5
Came here when looking for a bite after attending graduation, had never been and didn't know what to expect. Was so good I had the yogurt bowl with banana bread and my son had the Turkey and Brie sandwich. Both were fantastic. Plenty of seating, nice service. We'll come back for sure!Food: 5/5
