Out of the main food precinct but well worth the walk. Not great English but don't worry if you can't read the menus as they can give basic directions on the food items. The food is very good and can recommend the duck entree and the beef main. Salmon entree fresh and uncomplicated in its presentation. Pork main brilliant. Excellent value and would highly recommend. What Martina Méndez doesn't like about La 5Eme Saison:
Bof disappointed, the quantities are balanced but the kitchen unfortunately is disappointing egg banal moeurette drowned with onions with 3 bacon, dish of the day served with waiting while we were only 2 small table, fish too cooked risotto not enough, we wonder if it is homemade ... the risotto seems warmed quickly, the original rice still tastes nothing. The industrial praline pie dessert and industrial whipped. In... View all feedback.
It is in the very central location, but hidden in the middle of many other bars and restaurants. I can promise you as soon as you try it as you will never forget it! Some food is very creative, and some are traditionally lyonnaise style....More important, the cost of a good meal-- 3 courses plus a bottle and F wine is very reasonable.
The two managers of this restaurant are really passionate and came from a Paul Bocuse Brasserie. They have a limited number of plates and wines; the food is fresh and the wines are pretty good. In this restaurant you have a great welcome, good and tasty dishes and all this with an excellent quality/price ratio. I recommend this restaurant where I regularly come with friends who enjoy it
We wanted to invite friends to a nice restaurant, and la 5iéme season was recommended by our hotel owners, and on Tripadvisor it looked very promising. Talented young chefs, great reviews, interesting menu. We arrived on time, and since it was the first seat, our... Table ready and waited in fact we were the first customers this evening. After ordering appetizers and nets, the waiter I suspect is one of the 2 owners of chefs required for our choice of wine. The wine list was very short, and my wife and I do not like wines that partly consist of the Grenache or Garnacha grapes that are very common in the Rhone region. To our astonishment, however, the waiter cook did not know much if not something about wine, not the grapes of one of the most widespread red wine grape varieties in the world and so was not helpful at all. Luckily our friend was. We chose the wine that was good when our appetizers were good, but our main thing was served on a cold plate so that the food was hardly warm. Even food does not stop live until the expectations of the restaurants website and Tripadvisor reviews. Truth said, my dessert was amazing! I'm sorry, La 5íeme, maybe it was just a 'not up to standard' service, but definitely it's a missed opportunity.
We had an evening meal here in a very cool night. Limited menu and no special offers. While the restaurant was recommended, the absence of offers or fixed menu was really shown as there were only 4 tables occupied while we were on a Friday...night. We enjoyed our meals, but our meal was the same value for a course compared to 3 course prix
Excellent dinner: perfect lamb mice, dauphinois gratin beef net and divine fresh spinach. The set is filled with discreet but particularly well chosen spices. The creamy lemon and its basil ice ball finishes the meal slightly. I really recommend, we'll come back, that's for sure!
