What Dan Florentin doesn't like about Afternoon Tea At Beaulieu:
Absolutely terrible. The old building has creaky floorboards that make noise all the time. The walls are paper-thin, so you can hear everything going on around you. If you're looking to unwind, this is definitely not the place! The location is decent, but the staff at the reception are slow and unhelpful. The room was dirty and in disrepair, with stained carpets and peeling paint. Overall, a dreadful experience. Room... View all feedback.
A present that was greatly enjoyed. There were few staff do to COVID but in many ways gave a quiet peaceful time and as we had all afternoon that wasn’t a problem.
The Beaulieu Inn is a very quiet, calm place to dine. It is set in a lovely part of the new forest and the view from the windows is a vast expanse of woodland. The staff here were very attentive and we had a pleasant and relaxing afternoon tea with plenty to eat and a large pot of tea between two of us. Would definitely return.
It was meant to be 50% off which they falsely advertised on there fb page it not state anywhere a code was required when booking. We had instant coffee in a pot while customers before and after us had filter coffee. I feel my mother and I were conned out of two full afternoon teas when it was advertised as 50% off mon-we’d throughout September. Emailed hotel no response. I have always supported this hotel even had my wedding there last year I will not be booking again.
Our afternoon tea at the Beaulieu Hotel was booked to celebrate my sister's birthday who is visiting from the USA. It was a disaster from start to finish. After a very long wait at reception, we were told that our reservation would not be honoured as they had overbooked. We waited around and insisted on seeing the Manager. She put two tables together and after making the tables fairly clean, we were seated. The food came without plates of cutlery. We attempted to eat with our fingers but then insisted on cutlery. It was a long time coming. The food was inedible. We left most of it. Would never go there again or recommend this hotel.
Lovely venue and afternoon tea was very good. We had a second pot of tea which had just had hot water added to the pot and was very weak. Other than that would recommend
