1st visit: I tried 1/4lb smoked turkey with sweet cornbread. SO good!2nd visit: Picked up a bunch of stuff for a group. We shared orders so I tasted everything, along with my own. Best mac-n-cheese from a BBQ joint that is saying a lot!3rd visit: this past Sunday. Didn 't take any chances because this place is popular they do sell out. Got exactly what I wanted. FULL pound of brisket w/a piece of cornbread. Delicious!!This place KNOWS BBQ. You won 't be sorry.Pro-tip: Join their list with your name and phone number when you check out the 1st time. You 'll get a discount when your accumulated total gets to a certain amount.
After hearing good reviews my family had lunch here for the first time a couple days ago. Everything we ordered was on point: pulled pork, chicken, brisket, mac cheese and beans were delicious. I knocked a star for two reasons: one, our initial server wasn?t very friendly and the outdoor seating area was very smoky. Personally I didn?t mind because I love the smell but it can be off putting for others
This is literally the best bbq you will ever have. I've followed and tasted some of the best bbq in the country and this tops the list. The brisket is perfectly moist, with a very flavorful crust. The rubs and sauces are definitely something you want to take home as well. On top of everything, they have a cocktail area with some really cool custom drinks. Definitely stop by and say hello to Ken and Jess. You will be supporting a wonderful couple and their small business.
We almost missed the place. Small place right next to a mini golf. Very friendly staff. We had a 3 meat combo platter. There was enough left over to make a really nice brisket sandwich. Smoked chicken and double brisket made it just over $30. Definitely more than enough for 3 people. No drinks included. The smoked brisket was tender and very good. The smoked chicken was awesome as well. It would be a place to return to for sure. They have grown in the most difficult times. Despite all of the shutdowns.
During our short visit, many people recommended this place. We had the ribs, chicken and sausage. All tasted very tender and flavorful. And you don?t want to miss their pickles. Highly recommend!
This is some of the best BBQ in Virginia. Period. Hands down. It just is. Brisket and pork were wonderful. Sandwiches enhanced the meat. Mac-n-cheese was delicious. Greens were crazy good. County Cooler (rum cocktail) was tasty and using the rib rub to rim the cup was inspired. They are aware, thoughtful and helpful with food allergies. The chefs/owners/pit master and all of the servers were knowledgeable, friendly and talented at their jobs. Outdoor seating was pleasant and the smell for the pit was dreamy. Go! Go now!
