We were just driving through Lusk looking for a place to eat. Happened upon this place by chance. I ordered the best chicken bacon sandwich ever! I didn't know how good and thick bacon could be till here. I must have lived a non-priviledged life before all this. Service was great. We had some tasty fries too. The menu was breakfast all day and hamburgers sandwiches. I didn't really pay attention to what kinds of stea... View all feedback.
What Krypto Kate doesn't like about Triangle 4 Cafe And Steakhouse:
I'm in a wheel chair, old lady was sure mad when I complained of the ladies room being blocked and never did move all the chairs and high chairs, so my friend had to.. we wanted a new fork she told us to use the fork we used for our salad, and removed the extra wrapped fork off the table, and also the table next to us. Steak was half fat. Also watched a couple stand waiting to be seated for over five minutes, no one... View all feedback.
Lusk is a tiny town in nowhere Wyoming. There are no chain grocery stores and the only chain restaurant we saw was Subway. Depending on how you look at things you could either call it quaint or old. I personally like quaint . Triangle 4 Cafe Steakhouse is quaint. Not much to look at from the outside, but once you go in, it 's warm and welcoming. We are in town for HS basketball games and decided to stop in for breakfast. I ordered a 3-egg Western Omelet (ham, peppers, onion and cheese . It came with hashbrowns and toast for $7.75. My husband ordered the breakfast special, 2 eggs, 2 pancakes, 2 sausage, 2 bacon for $5.95. I got iced tea with lemon. They brought out a packet of lemon juice, which was just fine. They have good ice. The kind with the hole in the middle that kindof melts when you crunch it. ; It 's the little things you know.... The tea was really good. My husband had coffee and water. Both meals were cooked perfectly. Not one complaint with the food. Our waitress was an older lady who seated us quickly and was super nice, someones Grandma I 'm sure. Service was fast and we didn 't have to wait but maybe 10 minutes before our food came out. If you 're ever through Lusk, Wyoming, I highly recommend the Triangle 4 Cafe Steakhouse. Maybe next time I will have room for some pie!!
Cute and friendly with a Cowboy Christmas decor. We were headed from Rapid City, South Dakota and Mount Rushmore to Estes Park, Colorado and there are not many options for food along the way. This was a perfect place for a burger or or lunch plate and great service plus cute Christmas decor and down home conversations. Be sure to check out the wanted posters along the walls where the bathrooms are located. I think it would be lively and fun on the weekends.
Breakfast... chicken fried steak is a pan fried behemoth of meat.. very tasy meat.. Her had corned beef hash and it got rave reviews the hash browns were tasty and crispy as ordered. Youngster got ham and eggs.. and the half of my chicken fried I could not finish. Everything was good except service... it was great. . Attentive quick with the coffee. All in all a good solid stop on desolate highway. I recomend the stop.. it looked like good specials and dinner.
Wish I'd noticed the white board when we came in. The waitress offered us menus and didn't mention that there were other options. I was happy to see they offered a one pork chop dinner in addition to two chops, but that was about the only thing to get enthused about. The chop was hot and nicely seasoned, but difficult to cut with a steak knife. The mixed frozen veggies were steamed, which would turn even a veggie lover into a veggie hater. Sauteeing would have greatly improved them. The mashed potato was lumpy enough to presume it was not from a box but pretty tasteless. They didn't have any butter to help things out, and no, if it contains vegetable oil with butter flavor, its still called margarine. I'm not sure there's a better option for dinner in town. Perhaps skipping the main and going for one of the dozen or more kinds of pie would have been a better culinary option.
The Boy was starving all the way to death, so I abandoned my plans to make it a bit further up the road before lunch and pulled into one of the first places we spotted in this little drive-thru town. Overall, I 'd say the experience was fine...nothing more, nothing less. Waitress wasn 't overly friendly but was quick in taking our order, bringing drinks, and the meal. Food was reasonably priced. My BLT came served with a bag of chips for $5.25. The Boy 's kids meal was $4.95. A couple notches above fast food, with close to the same speed and prices made for a decent break from the road.
