I 've met friends here on several occasions and this is a great place to meet up for a beer or whiskey. I 've always felt welcomed and the staff has typically been spot-on with their recommendations. One of the last times I visited the Laureate Publick House, I was recommended a 'New Fashion. ' This drink consists of Rittenhouse Rye Straight Rye Whiskey, house-made ginger-lime simple syrup, and orange peel. Yes, this is a slight variation on their 'Old Fashion, ' which has some muddled cherry and sugar. I have to say, at first, I was a bit apprehensive. I 'm a whiskey on the rocks kinda guy; however, I was surprised by the recommendation—the New Fashion wasn 't quite as sweet as I was expecting, which I really liked. It was nice to be pleasantly surprised and I 'll be back to check out the rest of their menu.

I highly recommend the lavender gin sour cocktail—it's incredibly refreshing and delicious! The staff is very friendly too. I would love to see more vegan options on the menu.
