We first visited GOGi with our friends who kept raving about it. I honestly didn't think it'd live up to the hype, and I've also never had Korean food. We went and I was blown away. I loved everything I tried. About a year later, we've gone probably 15 times and that is still not enough. It's my new favorite restaurant and one I'm surprised more people don't visit. If you've never tried it before, take the jump. A+ food, atmosphere, and experience. Also, the servers are so helpful and will cook the meat for you if you are unsure.
Excellent experience overall. Good quality meat with good service. Being able to grill your meat to your taste adds to the pleasure of dining here but it comes at a price.
My go to Korean BBQ place in Louisvile. There are a lot of variations of meat, fresh and full of flavor! If it’s a date night I recommend getting the ala carte instead of the Gogi combo.Love the egg soufflè and cheesy corn.
I have been to dozens of these Korean BBQs across the nation, so I have a good perspective of what they should be like. This particular place is done very well. There is a wonderful atmosphere replete with 4k videos playing throughout the establishment that showcase and highlight Korea. The table was already setup with several sidedishes including kimchi, marinated cucumbers, fish cakes, coleslaw and radish slices. The grill was just getting hot as we arrived to the table and we were greeted by our waitress. We opted for the Gogi combo that feeds 4 to 6 folks. We had pork belly, teriyaki beef (golbi), prime brisket beef, short rib and coulette steak. We also had some broccoli and mushrooms plus some dumplings. We grilled a few pieces at a time and shared in the fun. The rice was particularly delicious for some reason. The food was very good and extremely fresh and the presentation added to the overall experience. Several had saki and I opted for a simple Blue Moon. This is definitely a great place to go and share a meal. Overall price per person was reasonable for a fine dining experience.
