I have the Shrimp Chorizo Wakataka and Fries and Aioli. The Wakataka came with a cup of cheese that was from this world. I tried it first on my pommes and it was really good, then I broke the Wakataka with the cheese and it was hands down one of the best things I've eaten for a long time. If you are looking for a really good lunch or even dinner, I recommend eating here! View all feedback.
What Nicole Struble doesn't like about Galaxie:
The setting of the restaurant was unique and had a really trippy vibe which was fun! It was trivia night but unfortunately the music was so loud between questions I had to holler to be heard by the person sitting across from me. The galaxie margerita was delicious but the tacos left something to be desired. They were covered in all sorts of toppings (fantastic! but the chips themselves taste weird. There's a coating... The mixture between the art gallery, dj section and fantastic bar makes it a wonderful spot for anyone. Atmosphere is pretentious, yet welcoming. Amazing for all moods!
Love this place! Better music than most places and a mixed crowd.
Wakatakas are the bomb!!! The egg and the burger were both spot on!!!!
This is my place. Best food, Great Music/ DJs: they even have a live piano man free-styling over beats on Saturday nights. The atmosphere is also perfect. Galaxie even shows planet earth on the tvs play edm music as well! Def my favorite hangout place in all of Louisville!!!!! The owners/manager of this establishment sure do know what they are doing, always coming out with fresh ideas too! Highly Recommend!
I met a Meetup group up here Friday night. The music was really a cool well thought mix; better than most club music especially the weak play list at Baxters. The bar snacks and margaritas were on point. They advertised a dance party that would start at 11 but I came back at 1:00 and there was no dancing. There are some cool spaces there I think they could utilize them more. Maybe like a house party feel where they open the upstairs part and make it a lounge. There one huge venue space that is really cool in the back. It was empty and freezing. The female bartenders looked too serious and didn't really shake up or mix up the drinks.. The first time I was here there was a guy with glasses and a fro and he engaged in convos and was true to the craft and you could tell he loved his job.
