We stayed at the Baywood Inn and breakfast at La Palapa is included. The choices aren't many but omg the food is delicious! I'm not sure why the reviews are mixed but the service was always great and with a smile while the restaurant ambiance felt homy and inviting. The breakfast burrito is gigantic! We also tried the pork carnitas omelette with chile verde sauce which was amazing! We were so full from breakfast that... View all feedback.
What Elda Amaya doesn't like about La Palapa:
They lacked music, it seemed like an abandoned place, the menu is very Tex-Mex, I expected more seafood on the menu, there was no fresh seafood at all. We just had a beer. The staff was friendly View all feedback.

A couple staying at our hotel in Cambria recommended this restaurant to us, and it was a fantastic suggestion! The food was incredibly delicious and enjoyable. I highly recommend stopping by and giving it a try. I ordered the beef flautas and they were absolutely mouthwatering. Just a tip: make sure to call ahead and confirm their hours before going. It is definitely worth it! I will definitely be returning on my next trip in that direction.

Waitress did an excellent job. The food was excellent and the portions were huge! Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
IMPORTANT NOTE: This place is expensive!! $32 for chicken fajitas with a $3 split-plate fee and we didn’t even get individual salads (most places give each person sharing the plate their own soup/salad when there’s a split-plate fee involved). Service was fast and friendly and the place is clean (didn’t use the bathroom, I can’t testify to bathroom cleanliness), and the fajitas were very good as was the blue cheese on our salad, but they’re getting four stars instead of five for their prices (another example- $19 for a chicken quesadilla). We’re local and have always eaten at the equally (in a different way) other delicious and WAY less expensive Mexican restaurant in town and can honestly say that La Palapa’s tourist prices are what will drive us away when choosing between the two. Parking: As long as High Street Deli is closed, there’s no activity going on nearby, and it isn’t a busy tourist-heavy weekend, parking shouldn’t be an issue.
