I love this bakery. Limited selection of things to bake for other stores like Whole Foods and Trader Joes. I love the peanut butter carob cookies. The ones you can usually find only in the bakery. The oat cranberry cookies are also delicious. The one you can get at Trader Joes as well. But nothing beats freshly baked things. Just a counter and a few seats, but they also have an espresso machine and coffee along with a few types when muffins. Not too sweet or fat.

I first learned about Zen Bakery from Happycow and have been buying their bread from their location on Pico Blvd in West LA for many years. Here's my updated review of Zen Bakery. I try to make it to the actual store, but if not, I purchase their products from my local food market. The store is open Monday through Saturday until 3pm. My go-to items are the vegan cinnamon raisin rolls, and I sometimes indulge in their vegan muffins and scones as well. All of their baked goods are consistently fresh, as they bake everything on a weekly basis and deliver throughout the city. Their display case always offers a variety of treats, and the prices are quite reasonable. You can also request a list of ingredients if needed. The taste is excellent - you can tell that their products are healthier and lower in fat compared to traditional baked goods.
This little shop primarily supplies its products to traders in Southern California, such as Whole Foods and Trader Joe's. The muffins are decent, leaning more towards being healthy than indulgent. They are quite filling due to their high fiber content. My favorite flavors are the banana mother muffin and carrot muffin, but they are not always available. It's best to go early, before 3:00, to have the best chance of getting them.
I adore the vegan muffins and cookies at this restaurant. Although the place is small, I can't get enough of their giant and tasty berry muffins.
