Having never been here even though we live nearby, we decided to give it a try and can early on a Friday night. Having heard about their Mojito’s, a couple of us gave them a try. While not the best Mojito I’d ever had, it was quite tasty as was the food. I feel they could expand their menu options a bit, but overall everything was delicious. View all feedback.
What Kallie Schaefer doesn't like about Xiomara on Melrose:
Unfortunately I have a garlic allergy and everything in Xiomara is cooked with garlic. We had a great mojito and had to go without dinner. We recently moved to Hollywood and were very excited to feed at Xiomara. I wish chefs could be more creative and cook without garlic. Garlic kills the taste of everything else on the plate! The drinks were great and the restaurant looks amazing. View all feedback.
Great brunch option. We had the shrimp and kale omelet.
Amazing contemporary Mexican food! A little mushy on the terrace, but excellent overall
Amazing salsa !! Great service and a fun environment !!! But they need better chefs with more than one cooking style who know how NOT to overcook all the meat they offer. ALL dishes taste very similar! All with burnt burn marks on "whatever" meat, mixed with similar spices and all well done to finish cooking. The burned cremation, like a fajitas, but for every dish? This is the second time that I had to come here with the same results ... I refuse the next time I am invited ... Maybe have a drink because the mood is good and fun ... she just need better cooks ...
This was one of our places, but tonight was a disappointment. I think everyone is entitled to a free night.
Always a good choice. Great margaritas and unique dishes. Carnitas seems to have changed - I didn't care what wet sauce it was on top of. It dampened the carnitas. The service was somewhat inattentive during this visit.
