Portion sizes are small, but food is fresh. Parking available. Must-try items include samosas, steamed momo, Chana masala, and garlic naan. Hi-bite: Mahkani curry, Low-bite: None. Service can be slow, but worth the wait for delicious Himalayan cuisine with Indian and Chinese influences. Prices are a bit high, but quality is good. Great spot for Momo lovers and special occasions in LA.
Tara's is a cozy and welcoming restaurant with a large and interesting menu. Everything we tried, especially the chicken dishes, was absolutely delicious. The spices were well balanced and the meat was tender and flavorful. The owner, Tara, who is from Nepal, prepares all the food herself, so it must be authentic Himalayan cuisine. Overall, everything we tried was delicious.
The food was delicious and the staff were very friendly. We enjoyed the chicken steam momo and chicken chili. Chef Dhan was professional and helpful, suggesting the best beer for us. They have parking available behind the restaurant building. Overall, it was a great experience. A must-visit for Momo lovers, especially if you are close to Culver City.
Parking spaces are available in the back, but street parking is also an option. The restaurant is beautifully decorated and wasn't too busy during Saturday lunchtime. However, it did take a bit of time for our food to arrive. The portion sizes are smaller than other similar establishments, but still satisfying. I highly recommend trying the curry and garlic naan, and the Mango Chutney has a unique and delicious flavor.
The food here was very good and the prices are reasonable. Chicken curry and daal fry were both delicious with rice, garlic naan is crispy and satisfying, and the momo were also delicious. My absolute favorite was the Mango-Cutney.
Tried the momos and chicken tikka masala. Really delicious. Great selection of affordable wines. Going to try the samosas, biryani, and lamb dish next time I?m back
