I had a wonderful time with my out of town friends at Sushi Tsujita. Chef Takeda is a true master with incredible knife skills. We were introduce to all kinds of fresh fish. This evening was a master class in different mackerels in addition to other wonderful fish. It was a memorable evening. I will definitely be back. View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Sushi Tsujita:
For the cost per person, it was shockingly disappointing. Not only was it not special, it was some of the worst quality fish I have every had. Everything about the experience was unfortunate. View all feedback.
For fresh, high-quality sashimi and sushi, this restaurant is a must-visit! If you're willing to splurge, the omakase is definitely worth it, but the lunch specials are a great way to sample their offerings first. Make sure to arrive early as the lunch specials are limited and offered on a first-come, first-served basis. Don't miss out on this restaurant!
This is a quick review of the new sushi restaurant opened by the Tsujita group on Sawtelle last month, just a short distance from their ramen shops. We visited a week after their opening, and I was pleasantly surprised by the meal. I must disclose that we dined for free, not as media, but as friends of Kenta-san, the Tsujita corporate chef. This is Tsujita's first venture into sushi that I am aware of, and I was unsure of their skill in this area. While they may not yet match the quality of Shunji and Kiriko in the neighborhood (or the city), they are on par with Q. The Tsujita team is invested in the restaurant, evident in the decor and high-quality ingredients they utilize.
For ramen enthusiasts, Tsujita and its Annex are revered as a temple of tsukemen, where waiting in line is worth it any day of the week. The success of their rich pork broth and noodles has made them a must-visit spot. So when news of their new sushi restaurant, Sushi Tsujita, came out, there was skepticism. But stepping into the restaurant, you are met with a chic outdoor patio adorned with an exquisite chandelier, giving off an upscale vibe. Inside, the intimate yet spacious interior is a standout in LA's dining scene. While the $15 lunch deal was enticing, I opted for the Special Assorted Bowl for $35, which included a delicious chawanmushi steamed egg followed by a variety of seafood dishes. The meal was a delightful experience and a great introduction to Sushi Tsujita's offerings.
Went here for their colorful bento box, but ended up upgrading to their omakase. We had an excellent meal on a President's day holiday.
Incredible Meal. I've never tasted fish like that. Ever. One of my best meals in my life.
