we always enjoy our eating at rappahannock. I had the laughs with rice and Brussel shoots. it was excellent. my wife had the shrimp tacos she enjoys. I had the pumpkin soup that was very tasty, but at room temperature. service was attentive View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Rappahannock Oyster Row Dtla:
came here last week with my friend. I thought it was a nice restaurant. reserved for 8:00 clock. they sat at the bar so that we can wait for a table, waited for 30 minutes, although they had provided tables. felt more like a sportable than a restaurant, as all server dancing and cracking sweat instead of the customers. I got a little bit of a bit. eating was decent, but maybe just closing the restaurant and making it... View all feedback.
My first time went and I was satisfied. The food was very good and love to make the many decisions. But the cocktails were down. We cost three different cocktails and were disappointing. They also lacked taste and alcohol, which was surprising on them given the detailed description. I would have ordered my drinks, but instead go with water.
Craved raw clams and found myself at this excellent establishment. Super cool location in LA- it has a Brooklyn, NY feel. The service was wonderful. The prepared raw dishes on the medium sized seafood tower was over sauced (scallops prawns/shrimp) than my liking but it has potential. Shrimp and ceviche was more cooked than I prefer (I like both translucent); I prefer cherrystone raw clams but Manilas were better than nothing. I could also use brinier, east coast oysters but all in all, my cravings were satisfied, especially because it’s hard to find raw seafood on the west coast (not like the clam and oysters bars in the east coast). The lobster roll was divine. Their wine list is superb, as well.
The paella was a fail, though the seafood on it was fresh but the added carrots and green peas was off, it had more of those than paella rice.
Servers were friendly. Options to dine inside or outside. Quality and presentation of food was solid.
All three oyster choices were amazing! The fried oysters amazing! The seafood gumbo marvelous and the drinks superb! Greta service and nice atmosphere.
