The staff were very accommodating and didn’t mind my three-hour stay, allowing me to relax without feeling rushed. While there was quite a bit of activity going on, it still felt like the perfect quiet spot to unwind. I appreciated the free coffee refills, which reminded me of the good old days of restaurant service and high caffeine consumption—back when I used to stay up all night!
Overall, I had a great time. If... View all feedback.
TL;DR Delicious food and friendly staff!I recently moved back to Southern California and the traffic is legit horrible! Way worse than it was 7 years ago. I was driving home during rush hour and my GPS was estimating a three hour drive. Ugh!I wanted to get home but three hours at a snail’s pace seemed tortuous. I exited at Silver Lake. I wasn’t sure what to do. By chance, I came across an adorable little vegan cafe. I enjoyed a coffee and ordered the club sandwich, while finishing up my work on my laptop. I had a lovely time in a cute cafe with delicious food. Bonus: I finished all my work and my commute home was now a fraction of the time!PS the vegan club sandwich and potato salad is amazing. The leftover half sandwich was even better the next day.
Delicious burritos! I'd recommend those. Their tofu scramble wasn't my favorite (mine's really good, it's not their fault). But the burritos??? Amaze
My new favorite restaurant in LA! Dining at Flore was a great experience from start to finish. Great service and great food. The environment was laid back and welcoming with the option to dine outdoors in a bright space full of greenery. There was no wait, we were seated immediately. The menu is pretty big with bowls, raw options, pizzas, burgers, sandwiches, salads, and many desserts. Even the juice and smoothie selection is extensive. There are pictures of all the menu items on their website which helped us decide what to get. Everything ended up looking even better than their photos which was pretty exciting. As an appetizer we got the kimchi quesadillas. Kimchi in a quesadilla ended up being a great combo. In the Gaucho Bowl, the mashed potatoes with mushroom gravy had a satisfying savory taste, and the portobello steak was full of flavor! The burrito bowl with seitan also had great flavor. We were really pleased with how filling and large the bowl portions were. For dessert, the lemon berry cake was delicious. It's common for vegan cakes to be overly dense or a bit dry... but not here! Even the frosting was good and not way too sweet like frosting often is. The seasonal pumpkin cheesecake was another good one.
It 's above a four for Flore!!This all welcoming spacious den on Sunset Blvd staple has been gracing Los Angeles and the neighborhood of Silver Lake for over 15 years since 2007.Originally located a short stroll or brief cruise up north around the 3800 block of Santa Monica. They 've definitely made this place feel just as amazing as the original (more so)! It 's not the place it 's the space (owner, staff, people, warmth, plus love they/everyone fills it with).I haven 't been able to get here post 2020/2021 but was grateful to pick a great Sunday lunch (just missed brunch) spot and take in the boulevard as well as amazing eats, service, atmosphere and company. They layout of the inside is warm blues, beige, light wood tones, marble, and white with sprinkles of real plants as well as painted plants along the walls... Bohemian Chic. The brunch menu is extensive, but the lunch/dinner menu is even more epic with great burgers, sandwiches, soups, salads, pizza, desserts, bowls, appetizers/shareables/small plates and beyond. It 's in the name, so it goes without saying everything is 100% vegan and delish!!My date had a Tempeh Reuben and Tortilla soup... both out of this world yum. And those shoestring cut fries are bliss! Talk about flavor.I had a classic burger with thousand island and a potato salad for my side choice (you can do a few options here). The burger was beyond savory, and even Noah (my date) was blown away and super impressed, natural omnivore that he is.And while I enjoyed the potato salad, I definitely wanted a lite fluff of flavor (maybe paprika) as it was close to perfect. Definitely got me inspired to make my at home vegan potato salad (hopefully this week). We had an amazing server who kept trying to end her work day but was so dedicated that she doubled back twice to make sure we and her other tables had everything before passing us off. She had great recommendations, including the (meatless) Meatloaf sandwich, which is on the agenda next time.A lot of the Flore crowd are friendly regulars. The gentleman at the table next to us asked us about our food and even ordered some of the same items and suggested his go to the Reuben for next time. The wine and craft brew list is small yet effective with some amazing variety, including those Sunday (as well as Saturday) Funday must like sangria, mimosas, and spritz. The Vinovore Safari Sunset was sensational.. It was Orange wine time!!Support this small mom and pop eatery asap when you can. Q Tips:Ask about the soups for the day (usually two options). You need the code for the restroom located in the main open dining area (ask your server).Parking is parking, conveniently walkable area so if you find something take it! Not the easiest direct in front (usually a few hundred feet before or after) drop off or pickup if using rideshare the metro runs frequently in the area and drops off near the lights closeby.
I've been going to Flore for years and it has never disappointed. Great selection of food and everything I have ever had there has been delicious. Love the new location, outdoor seating is a bit roomier.
