Dudley's was recommended time by a friend. Nothing fancy, just friendly service and good food. Complimentary coleslaw is brought to your table along with your menu. Not bad, pretty good! The waitress, recommended the blackened shrimp, which came with one side. I went with her recommendation and had dirty rice along with red beans and rice. What Timothy J doesn't like about Dudley's Cajun Cafe:
Absolutely unacceptable that Dudley's has a waiter serving food with no mask and no gloves! Do it for the safety of your customers! If you are so obviously not following hygiene rules...I cannot imagine what they do that I cannot see. I will never eat there again! Shame on the management! If you get closed down, you deserve it for being so irresponsible! View all feedback.

Hands Down!! Great Place to eat!! There is a reason why Dudleys is considered one of the best places to eat in Longview. I've been all over the USA and Canada, and I've had cajun and Creole food many, many times. I've eaten great Cajun food in Louisiana, at places like PreJeans, and Randalls, I've had Creole made by Chef John Folse, I've had Cajun in Indiana, and variations of this cuisine all over North America. As a travelling Foodie, it's my job to eat and share with you my thoughts and opinions of the places that I've visited. Dudleys Cafe is the real deal, from the second I walked in and smelled the aromas of Cajun/Creole in the air. I was greeted warmly and brought to my table, my server realizing I was eating alone did her best to make feel at home. We talked a little about what I like to eat, and I let her know that I hadn't had (good) crawfish in a really long time. Well, she said she exactly what I needed. We started off with a local Abita TurboDog in a frozen glass, which hit spot on a warm, muggy Texas night. Then out came the fragrant and savoury Gumbo, which as homemade and authentic as a gumbo could get. On the side, I had a little bowl of the tangiest and delicious coleslaw that I've had in a while. Once I finished every drop of Gumbo I eagerly waited for the main course. Mind you, I watched as many plated hit the tables around me, and I saw everything from catfish to hamburgers, to tacos, sausage, shrimp, and yes I was getting hungry. Then...out it came, one of my all times favourites....blackened crawfish tails on dirty rice!!! I was floored, not only was the blackening spot on, it was cooked just like it should, keeping the tails moist and fresh, and just enough spice to give it heat but not overpowering the dish so you could taste the sweet meat of the crawfish. Yes, this was a meal to remember, and the folks at Dudley's treated me very well. I even had a chance meeting as I was leaving with Dudley himself and we shared some fishing stories as I was about to leave. Dudley one cool cat !! If you're ever anywhere near Longview Texas, you have to experience it for yourself.
