Mar Belo Portuguese /lounge

It was our first time at Mar Belo. The food and service were outstanding. We will definitely be back.

Our first sub par meal was Tuesday 9/6. Restaurant was quiet. We ordered an appetizer, waited 20 minutes and it was served barely warm. We said something to a manager. Our entrees were served hot and were very good, not great. I love the espressocreme brulee. It was served cold. Just disappointing. When we made the reservation, they asked if we were celebratinganything. We told them it was my birthday and they never acknowledged it. Why ask then?? No excuses for this. There are too manyexcellent restaurants in the area.

A consistent awesome restaurant with an awesome staff and great music. Never had a bad meal and they make you feel like you are home! Update: Mar Belo remains one of the top dining spots at the Jersey Shore. Last night, I tried their dessert menu for the first time, and it was fantastic. We had the rice pudding and flan. Although they might not be new dishes, I loved that they offer a half pitcher of sangria. If you're looking to socialize, it’s always a good time at the bar!
