I took my friends into this amazing Hungarian restaurant because they never tried Hungarian dishes, I am Hungarian. it is not in the center of london, but it is worth it. the next station is new cross gate and then a short walk. restaurant the restaurant itself is so Hungarian, very authentic. they use as many small details as the geraniums, the blue curtains, tablecloths, rustic chairs and tables, real hanging plants. wein they have a large selection of Hungarian wine compared to the size of the restaurant. I really liked the béres tokaji aszú 5 puttonyos. I recommend it to desserts. foodfood is very tasty. I am not biased about the restaurant, but I really have to say that eating and the ingredients they use to cook are really good qualities. they really feel the fresh ingredients. the best thing was the bark stew with homemade noodles, called ‘nokedli’. the nokedli was so soft, simply melted in my mouth. my grandmother is doing this. the pancakes were very good, the best in my life. very soft and airy, very light with various homemade fillings, such as cottage cheese, chocolate, apricots. not so much! a unique thing at this restaurant that they serve the food on unique handmade ceramics. you can buy a few if you like them. service and personal the service is very good, the personal is linguistic. Here you can enjoy the excellent Hungarian food and wine experience. You can find more information in my YouTube channel.
I wait, back to budapest (dentist), it has been for 2 years since I last visited and missed some great winter food and had been reliably informed by my dental surgeon about this place. I was not disappointed as soon as I ordered the drinks and didn't arrive long after eating, really authentic. the eating was excellent, the personal could not do enough for them and the ambiente was perfect.
A very cozy and authentic hungarian restaurant. i really enjoyed the food and music there
Delicious Hungarian food Great service Lovely Decor Also great to do the pottery with Mihaly
Very nice cosy restaurant serving authentic homemade Hungarian food. The goulash is highly recommended. The Hungarian lager was also very nice. Also note that the owner runs pottery classes at the back, which was how we found out about the place. Very recommended.
