Contribute FeedbackAt this bustling pub, diners experience a blend of highs and lows. While many praised the ambiance and friendly staff, there were concerns about inconsistent food quality. Some enjoyed the impressive Sunday roast, particularly the vegan Wellington, while others reported overcooked meats and underwhelming steaks. Service was often described as slow or forgetful, especially during busy periods. However, patrons appreciated thoughtful touches like Christmas crackers. Despite some complaints, many guests found reasons to return, particularly for the delightful roasts and welcoming atmosphere. Overall, the restaurant shows potential but may benefit from addressing service and food consistency.
My husband and I had Sunday Roast I had the roast pork my husband had the trio everything on the plate was delicious. Our last experience of having a Sunday roast was not pleasant my only criticism I feel that if you order the Sunday roast later on in the day it is not as good as if you order it at precisely around lunchtime.
Food listed on menu not available. No flexibiliteit.
It was so loud and hectic. Kids running around everywhere and going on the mezzanine (a Saturday night) We had to try for a long while to get out waiters attention even though the restaurant wasn’t too full. Clearly they were much more focused on a big table than the one for two. I reserved because I was eager to try their Veganuary menu (since they have reduced their vegan options considerably over the past two years) but was told they only serve it Mon-Fri which wasn’t specified on their website. Very disappointed as this was one of my favourite local spots.
They run out out of rib eye steak and lamb rump (the only 2 dishes we wanted to try). I also had to remind the staff twice about the 50% discount I had and they still brought the bill without discount. I would only go again on Sundays for the roast.
Great food, service and ambience for weekday evening.
