While some diners found the flavors and textures too similar, others raved about the fresh ingredients and excellent fish dishes. The presentation of the set menu for lunch was compared to a Masterchef dish, with a focus on texture and quick consumption of certain items. The Michelin-starred atmosphere of the restaurant was noted by many, with attentive staff and sophisticated touches like branch handles on the doors. Main dishes were highlighted as being just as exceptional as the starters and desserts. While some diners found the service to be too fast, others appreciated the attentiveness of the staff. The ambience of the restaurant was praised, with a relaxed bar area adding contrast to the more formal dining hall. Overall, Texture offers a high-quality dining experience with a focus on texture and fresh ingredients, making it a great choice for those looking for a sophisticated meal in London.
Hotel restaurants are often a bit meh, but texture definitely doesn't fall into this category. eating is very carefully prepared and with some very original takes on scandi ingredients presented. we had the fish tasting menu that I highly recommend. each court had several very different aromes, all worked together beautifully. it is not cheap at all, but they are guaranteed to be satisfied with their meal and with the entire experience. I don't charge it a 5 because I think the decor leaves the place down, it's a bit bland, in contrast to the excellent and exciting eating inside.
Went for lunch with a large group from work. It was a set menu and I was most impressed by the presentation. It looked like straight out of Masterchef True to its name the texture is the theme in whatever they serve. Once the starters were placed on our table the captain was quick to point out that the iced part will melt if not had quickly. Since I ate vegetarian, I polished off a decent quantity of pasta which was colourfully showcased. The dessert was rhubarb which was tasty The wine was smooth and rounded off a good meal.
A real find for visitors. Visiting London you really don't have much local information without consulting Urbanspoon. Even then, there are so many other restaurants in this crowded space The meal was excellent and challenging minds of the meat and veg crowd. I had Norwegian king crab to start and my wife, the asparagus. Mains of turbot for me and my wife, the suckling pig shoulder. Quite a portion for her. She did happen to return for chocolate soil, beetroot and milk ice cream. I chose a luscious washed rind cheese from Normandy We really enjoyed our meal
I have booked texture for a work lunch with my senior management team and 2 other guests while the service was too time for my lust and a little confusion who had ordered what, it was very friendly and efficient. in consideration of the quality of the restaurant it was more discreet than many high-end restaurants that I was in the food was simply excellent and served perfectly. the amuse beech, which had set a small Celeria soup on a fake birds nest, was a good sweat that I had the deaf starter followed by salted cajau and it was fabulous. my fellows were completely in agreement. because this was a work-eating, the somewhat quiet atmosphere - no distraction loud...Read more
...the savoury dishes are created without the use of any butter or cream. Butter and cream contain a large deal of fat, which tend to fill a person up quite easily.
