Mr Fogg’s has been high on my “must visit in London” list for quite a while, but every time I wanted to go there was some reason I couldn’t! Either I was ill or in France or never quite found the time, so when I was invited to their Wimbledon Soiree on Tuesday I jumped at the chance! View all feedback.

A few weeks back I was invited to herrn foggs 5th year, can they believe that it is 5 years long that mr. fogg has entrusted us with their innovative cocktails and theatrics? I was super excited to visit as I was not yet in her Mayfair branch, and I love her gin-palour in covent garden. one of the reasons why I like to go to mr. fogg’s is the dramatic of the bar. It is full of historical trinkets and artifacts of the Victorian researcher. from a filled papagei to a hot air balloon, if the mouth-extinguishing cocktails do not entice them, the decor of the restaurant becomes. I came to the jubilee party, shortly after 19 o'clock, when I was late at work. when I arrived, the celebrations were already in full with live entertainment playing at the front of the bar. mr. fogg’s offered freeings from hendricks gin, but I still support my commitment to dry januar, so I would have to try a non-alcoholic drink. I could literally weep my eyes out because the selection of drinks sounded like what I needed after a long working day. but I have made an oath to go 31 days without alcohol and I have stuck to it. Therefore I chose the moderate releases, a selection of refreshing alcohol-free cocktails. there were two possibilities: berry straight narrow and red herring. my favorite had to be red herring, this is a mix of rhabarb with apple juice, fresh lime juice, rosen water, agavsirup and citrus foam. from the first swallow, the zitrus foam stroked my mouth, tasted and tangy, but refreshing taste, everything he needed was a little gin. the second non-alcoholic beverage was the berry straight narrow, which was covered with ginger ale from celberry and bromberry, cranberry juice, fresh limette juice. I also loved this mocktail, but was something on the sweeter side. this was the first time, during my dry january period, that I actually enjoyed a cocktail, as the cocksuckers at herrn fogg’s are so imaginatiw.
The first is the place, the ambiente. amazing and innovative cocktails, a great service, a good choice of drinks. overall an amazing experience.
I have become the boozy bunch afternoon tea auntie. the bbata? Maybe not a good acronym. this time we went for one that is somewhat different from the usual ones that they could get around london. themed afternoon tea has become fashionable, but they are quite expensive. when it was my birthday, I allowed myself this forgiveness. a friend and I visited herrn fogg in his residency in mayfair to have tipsy tea: cocktails and sandwiches. I've been here before and loved her for her amazing cocktails. reservations are absolutely important as they cannot get to the residency without one. the main room is with a strange and wonderful “fake” travel collection. there are bikes on the deck, plus bird cage, also filled animals, spread out fur and strange dinge in bottle. it is a vision of a Victorian researcher's curious city house. (when they want to see that the real thing visit sir john soane’s museum. I really hope that not all in herrn foggs residenz is as it seems. there are stools and tables that saw as if they were made out of elephant feet, but with more accurate inspection it turned out that they were fake. I know that the victorians had no reservations against such things (I have worked in auction and seen many strange Victorian things from animal sharing) but only because the victorians did it does not mean that we have to.
