Unfortunately, several items on the menu were unavailable during the visit, leading to disappointment for the diners. Despite friendly staff and pleasant food, service was slow and inconsistent, with some dishes arriving cold and requiring reheating. However, the venue itself was well laid out and intimate, and the staff were attentive in guiding diners toward good options. Overall, while there were some positive aspects to the experience, such as improved food quality and friendly service, the overall dining experience was marred by issues with menu availability and slow service.
Had a lovely lunch for my friends 60th birthday Darren was very friendly
Slow, unalert bartender The worst Dubonnet/Gin I’ve ever had Breadcrumbs under the tablecloth Incorrect bill. Too many small things that weren’t up to standard
The service and food were excellent. Value was also good due to the 50% off main courses
We were surprised that even after two attempts they could not cook a steak medium rare, but we were so hungry after being made to wait 30 mins for a table in spite of having a reservation with OpenTable, we didn't care. The soup took 25 mins to arrive and only after reminding them that we'd ordered starters and they didn't even come with one slice of bread -and we were not offered bread either. It was quite hard to get anyone's attention. There were a lot of problems in ordering our food, communication between the staff and the kitchen, but they were very busy, so perhaps we were unlucky. The head waiter did his best to remedy the problem with our main meal, but I didn't want to spend more of my time to address the other issues because I could tell that they knew that they were having a difficult day.
Food was pleasant enough, Salmon starter was tiny, fish cake lovely, pecan pie too chewy and difficult to cut with a spoon but again tasty. Service was friendly but quite slow and with not many people in the restaurant I’m not really sure why.... Had to get people’s attention a number of times and the majority of staff were on breaks eating on the upper level from 4pm which didn’t help the very laid back service
