Greedy Cow - London

Haven't been to the restaurant for a couple of months. What a difference without Pierre who has now left and was the life and soul of this restaurant. On Monday night the back part of the restaurant was full of stacked up chairs and large plastic containers. There were only two tables available for dinner one of which we had because we booked. The restaurant was a mess. Young girls trying their best but out of their depth . The food was very good but after ordering a second bottle of expensive wine we were told they were closing in 15 minutes (9.30)! Not very clever. We stayed on anyway until we finished the wine. This place needs a manager of the same caliber of Pierre or it will sink which will be a shame. Not happy and i do fear for this place. We did not visit the bathroom but if it is as filthy as they previous reviewer has said, i will not be going back. The restaurant needs to put a reassuring note on its website (which also isn't working at the moment) that the ship is in good, safe and healthy hands.

I went to this restaurant with friends in January and will not be going back, and neither should you. I always judge a restaurant based on the cleanliness of the bathrooms, and they were absolutely filthy! It seemed like no one ever cleaned them, with excrement all over the toilets. I checked back later in the evening and they were still not cleaned. A well-managed restaurant would have these checked regularly. As for our table, there were still crumbs on the table and seats from the previous customers. I have a problem with wooden tables as they never feel clean to me. I watched a staff member half-heartedly wipe the table while the oblivious manager and owner stood around the bar. The young staff were inexperienced and didn't know much about the menu. The burgers did not taste like they were made in-house, and when I asked a staff member, they said they were bought in. I might as well have gone to a supermarket to buy my own burger. I can't stand going to restaurants that buy in pre-made products. The fries also tasted like they were frozen. The saying goes, "pay peanuts for staff and you get..." An outdated burger trend restaurant. There are many better restaurants in East London that make their own burgers. The best part of the meal was leaving the cold atmosphere of the restaurant where the owner hovered around the tables. Would I go back? No way! Would I recommend avoiding it? Absolutely! Hopefully, this year will weed out bad restaurants like this one. I felt like I was eating in a restaurant that was 10 years out of date.

Not worth the money,We ordered Steak,Burgers,Fries,Onion Rings. The onion rings were a disaster almost 100% pure batter. The waitress never came by after serving the food even though we were the only customers in the Restaurant/Cafe. Why didn’t the waitress check to see everything is ok,We are paying top dollar and expect the service and food to be the same Seriously this a rip off and we eat out regularly as we travel a lot. Sadly we would NOT recommend and will not return. There are many other places to eat that provide far better food at a fraction of the cost . Spend your hard earned money elsewhere or you will regret it

Visited with my Dad and sister for an early evening meal. All three of us loved the welcome and hospitality shown. Thoroughly recommend the halloumi fries starter and we all had excellent mains.

I recently visited the Greedy Cow for the second time and it was just as good as the first! I ordered the cheese and bacon burger with aioli and my partner tried the Jamaican burger, both were delicious. The owner was very attentive and hands-on, creating a welcoming atmosphere. When my partner accidentally knocked over my cocktail, the owner quickly replaced it and refused to let us pay for it. I highly recommend this restaurant and we will definitely be returning!
