Great Place for Singaporean Malaysian meals in the Kensington Area. After living in Singapore for 5 years in the late 90's this is the first authentic Singaporean food we have found. I highly recommend it if you are in the area. View all feedback.
What Lizzie Baker doesn't like about Bugis Street At The Bailey's:
Some issues during the meal. Wine was not the year advertised but still priced at the same cost. Chicken was dry, but told that the 'chicken is usually dry ' Food was salty, including the omlette and vegetable pot, so most of us felt a salty and dry taste in the mouth after the meal. On the good side, the starters and deserts were all good. The restaurant and hotel interior is lovely. And on location, Gloucester Road... View all feedback.
We came in that morning from a 10 hour flight. I was so happy we booked to have dinner on our first night. The food was amazing, the service was incredible. Christina our server was wonderful making wonderful food and wine recommendation. I will definitely come back when we are visiting London.
Excellent Customer Service. The Dim Sum is was delicious. And will be back next time we are in the area.
Delicious food and really nice, classy restaurant. Reminds me of Singapore so much!
The food was great but when we arrived they had no record of our reservation. When they eventually sat us, we were then ignored for 30 mins before someone finally took our order. Then the food came out basically one thing at a time. They also forgot to bring us some of the food we ordered and we had to ask them where it was multiple times, before someone finally brought it to us. Also it was difficult to get any drinks after our initial order because it was difficult to get the attention of any of the staff. Our reservation was meant to be at 8pm. We didn't receive any food until about 9.15pm and we did not finish eating until about 10.30. This was much too late and we were all pretty tired by the time we finally got back. As I said the food was great, and I have eaten in this restaurant before without any problems, I'm not sure why it was so difficult this time.
Have been there quite a few times but went recently for after they have done some upgrades to their menu and whole restaurant. Overall very good, the restaurant was a bit more refreshed and i love the green chairs and chopsticks. We had their signature dishes Hainan Chicken Rice the chicken was moist, Kway Teow with Beef was well done and beef was very good. Stir Fried Okra Blachan. Sago Gula Melaka was TOP Notch if you know what that is .. it is a sago pudding and amazing (less sweet than what you get in Singapore which is even better) .. I went on a Monday and it was pretty full so that was a good sign. !
