Trikaya Retreat , Kamshet - Lonauli

I have been to Trikaya Retreat with my family twice in last three months. Located amidst a range of scenic hills and water bodies in Kamshet, this is a unique place ideal for a day picnic. The 60 minutes drive from Pune to this place is very nice and enjoyable. Especially the last 15 km where you drive through beautiful villages which makes you experience a disconnect from the city life and a connect with the nature.Once you enter the property, you can see beauty all around you. Surrounded by mountains, the place offers a beautiful view. The sit out and dining area is uniquely crafted. We reached the place at around 10. After having a filling and tasty breakfast, we headed for a mini trek with family with Thomas accompanying us, followed by a delicious barbecue and the main course.During our last visit in September, we had a great time at the waterfall which is in close proximity and offers a natural jacuzzi. It was one memorable experience. The USP of the place is it is very scenic, it is open by invite only, doesn't have anything that is out of place or unwanted and the personal attention that you get from Thomas is unmatchable to any other place. We felt at home and had a great time. Truly memorable :)

Monsoon is probably the best time to visit this place. Countless waterfalls can be seen in the hills surrounding the property. Superb 15 min trek will take you to the base of one of the major waterfalls. Awesome experience, but be careful in the gushing waters. Well made and tasty veg & non-veg meals, with the barbecue fired up in the evening. The property is perfect for people looking to get away from crowds and listen to the sounds of nature, see the beautiful greenery and breathe in crisp mountain air. There is a very old Temple of Lord Shiva at a 5 min drive followed by a 15 min trek. Worth the visit. Sadly no rooms to stay overnight at Trikaya, but they do have tents that are put up indoors in rainy season. Highly recommended for a day trip for all. For overnight stays ... hmmm ... Band of Boys : Most certainly. Gang of Girls / Families : only if you are comfortable with sleeping in tents and using common washrooms. But for me and my family, that is little sacrifice in return to the getting a prime seat in nature's balcony with no one around for many miles. Carry everything that you think you will need, as there are no shops around.

Perfect Weekend Destination with beloved one.food stuff is too good. Tent stay awith bonfire and awesome views of Sun#Moon#Western Ghats views....go and feel Peaceful aura of nature ..i would highly recommended to stay a night in tent ..

I was there with my family .This place is a real revelation , situated not too far from the city of Mumbai. This is your kind of place if you're looking for some peace and quiet . This property is very private and located atop a hill in kamshet.The staff is very helpful and take extra care for your your needs . The food at the restaurant is absolutely fantastic and you will want to eat there again & again, very homely touch . The place has a nice and quaint touch to it . The property owner Anil spent a lot of time with us to show us around the area and take care if anything we needed .The sleeping arrangement is inside tents so that could be a bit of a challenge if you aren't used to it but everything else is great.The hammock by the mango trees are superb , you can spend hours there .Have fun !

At this moment only one thing comes in mind"Awesome place,Awesome food and of course Anil...you are just amazing".Seen nature very closely and knew many things abt nature.Its all bcoz of Anil who really made our day.feel like we are family now.Thanks a lot..See you soon and this place
