First time at Burgersmith. Madeleine was a friendly, helpful waitress, making recommendations, and explaining menu. Garlic and butter frues were excellent. Everything for a great lunch on the road. View all feedback.
What Meredith H doesn't like about Burgersmith Denham Springs:
My family stopped here for lunch on our way to Florida from Houston. The waitress was very attentive/friendly and did a great job of explaining the menu since we had never been there. We had 3 build your own burgers and my son had a bratwurst hotdog and we each had fries. The food was ok... not bad. The reason for the 3 stars is the time it took for the food to get to us. I love their burgers. The wait staff is extremely friendly and the burgers are always hot and fresh. I just have one question. The question is what did they do to their fries? The fries used to be good but during my last two trips, the fries weren't good at all. The fries were always hot and fresh and cut from fresh potatoes. The fries tasted like the ones you prepared at home using fresh potatoes. My last two trips to Burgersmith the fries were sub par. It seems that they are now using frozen fries with some of the skin still on. The fries were hot but they were very greasey and they were skinny. When I bit into one, I immediately knew that I was biting into a frozen fry. I went there two weeks ago and that's when I realized the fries changed for the worst. I went there today for lunch with a coworker and she noticed immediately that their fries were frozen. TBH, McDonald's frozen fries taste better than Burgersmith. I'm going to give them one more time to see if they are still using the frozen fries. If they do, then I'm going to seek another burger place. I live in Denham and I can't justify battleing traffic for lunch on a busy Juban Road for an order of frozen fries. At one time their fries were the very best in the Baton Rouge area.

We saw many tables sitting and waiting but the rate of getting food was extremely slow. My only recommendation is to come here when you have nowhere else to go afterwards. It was not a bad place but it wasn't a place I would insist we stop when traveling through here again.
EXTREMELY friendly service and prices are very reasonable. Meal is good and selection of beers are good! Go try and see for yourself
Before I add add anything else, let me say everyone we came into contact with at this restaurant were very pleasantl. Nice people. We went to this BurgerSmith with another couple and their child because we are all fans of the franchise. It was early (before 6 PM) on a Friday night but the place never filled up--not nearly. Which left me wondering why everything we ordered was delayed so long. We placed a drink order just before six (lemonade, couple of beers, water) and it took twenty minutes to fill! We placed our meal orders about five after six and it was FIVE TILL SEVEN before we were served! Should it take fifty minutes to get three burgers, chicken sliders (more on that), a cheese sandwich and fries? I don 't think so. The waiter came back several times to check on us while we (and others around) us waited and waited for the order. He did try, I think. The food finally came and it was good quality food, except one burger was stone cold and the person who ordered the chicken sliders was told The kitchen had run out of slider bun. Is it okay to make a regular chicken sandwich instead? Everyone was starving by that point so Yes, absolutely! Completely changed my good opinion of BurgerSmith. Not going to this location again (Juban crossing) that 's for sure. Maybe not to BurgerSmith in general as well. There are plenty of other places to eat. I do think that if this really long wait had been as unusual as the waiter as indicated, an assistant manager or manager might have touched base with the customes who were waiting so long. We are reasonable people and would understand emergencies and unexpected difficulties. Nothing except an apologizing waiter. Not the way to run a business.
Got home and ate a few bites of this burger before I noticed it wasn't cooked. Furious is an understatement.
