We were delighted to see a Moroccan restaurant just a few steps from our Airbnb, and we were not disappointed. My husband adores couscous, and had a lovely plate of merguez couscous. My son and I had tagines, and all the plates were delicious. What John N doesn't like about Aux Delices du Maroc:
We chose this restaurant as it was currently rated no 1 in Verdun by Tripadvisor. In our view this is undeserved. The premises are very ordinary, the owners very welcoming, but the food (only tagines or couscous) is not far above average, not very appealing to look at and can result in stomach issues for the sensitive at a later stage. We all 4 had Moroccan stews and they were exceptional. Basic but very pleasant restaurant about 30 minutes walk from town centre. Sitting in outdoor table area was lovely. Staff were lovely. Highly recommended don’t be put off by ‘humble’ appearance food here is fab.
For 10 euros per person, we had a huge plate of delicious vegetable couscous. We found the food reasonable and tasty. The hosts were warm and friendly and repeatedly offered to refill our plates. We would go back.
Repas a deux a 13 heure attente de 10 minutes avant d'aller chercher quelqu un dans les cuisines pour nous accueuillir enfin pas gravecoucous aux trois viandes fades sans épices . personnellement je n'aime pas la semoule trop fine et dans ce resto c'est le casje n'aime pas trop les raisins secs dans le coucous et la manque de pot une grosse cuillère dans l'assiette meme l'harrissa n'est pas forteenfin un petit resto ou l'ambiance est typique de "la bas dit" a proximatiftrop copieux aussi mais beaucoup trop fade 51 euros pour deux personnes moyen a vous de voir

J'ai vraiment très bien mangé, c'est copieux et nous avons été très bien accueillis ! Plusieurs type de plats son proposés, il y a du choix pour tous, même pour les végétariens ! Je recommande grandement
