What Samm B doesn't like about Bangkok Cuisine:
My husband and I went to try this place out for lunch and we saw on the door that they were opened from 11:00am-3:00pm, and when we arrived it was 1:55pm and they were already closed. A man was sitting in the back table to the left of the restaurant and just looking out and not even coming to the door. We decided to go somewhere else for out lunch. What a disappointment coming from a restaurant that indicated on thei... View all feedback.
I wanted to try this place because I heard good things, but I was very disappointed. When I first came in, I was surprised that it was empty since it was 1:00. I had asked for a high chair when I sat for the first time and the waiter had never brought along, I ended to get it myself, which was okay. Then two different people came in to eat after me, and the waiter took their orders first before he came to take my order. That was all right, just wanted him to take my order as I had come in a few minutes before them. Then the Tamhai came and the noodles were burned. I was hungry, so ate a part of it, but I never had padhai that tasted a little burned. When I went to pay, my lunch special came with Thai tea and side rice like $30 I was like wow, that's pretty high for a lunch.... the lady ringed me upstairs told me the Thai tea was $7.50! I was so surprised by the price of tea, I'm used to paying most $4.99 for a tai tea. I told her this was crazy, and it probably explains why it was so empty??? One thing that bothered me was that the waiter had gloves, served the customer and in between it was his lunch in one of the dining room tables to eat and never gloves between touching his food and mouth and serving people changed.
Always so fresh and tasty! a family favorite we love eating here. the server are always beautiful and attentive.
We came to the point at 2:30. Close at 3:00. The clock in the restaurant was 15 minutes fast. We ask twice what we wanted to go down within two minutes. Why do you have hours and move your watch 15 before
I only had the pad Thai, but it was delicious. Beef was pretty chewing. I wonder if they use shoulders around their cattle slices. A simple work around is reason to have beef/chicken as an option. Very good. I recommend it.
I wish I could give it 5 Stars. Unfortunately, the operating time is on the ?moms and pops? time zone (opened when they want to)! I Showed up 1 hr b4 the posted closing time and it was closed. Few times on the weekend I would show up for lunch and it was also closed but had the open sign remains on. I would wait in parking lot or in front of the main door like a stray puppy with my belly in my hands. Please get y?all?s operating times in order, because this is getting very ridiculous. This place is the best Thai spot in San Antonio! Posted picture is at 7:45 august 23.
