Plenty of parking upon arrival. Welcomed and greeted by a thoughtful employee. The ambiance inside is a step above most movie theaters. And so is the customer service in my opinion. We purchased two tickets for The Little Mermaid. Excellent film. We were early for the movie and had time to look at the menu from our seat. A friendly server took our alcoholic beverage order and food items. We enjoyed a unique popcorn o... View all feedback.
What Jack C doesn't like about Glass Half Full Taproom At Alamo Drafthouse:
If you are only going to accept orders for 1/3 the length of the movie, you need to say that right away. There should be a clear policy, written right on top of the menu or better yet explained by the waiters, on the time frame you have for ordering. Acting like you never took the slip with my order and then showing up with everyone's checks nearly an hour before the end of the movie, is not the move. If you want the... View all feedback.
Very good customer service. And all around great experience and attentive. The food and ambience before the film starts is great too.
For our first trip back to the theater after COVID we decided to try the Alamo Theater in Aspen Grove Shopping Center. It was a wonderful theater experience. PARKING It's a shopping center so there is plenty of parking around the theater. THEATERS They have 7 comfortable theaters that are various seating sizes. The #1 theater is the smallest, #7 is the largest (holds about 200 . We went to theater #3 and I thought it was HUGE! SEATING The seats are comfy recliners with a built-in a cup holder on the left and tray table for your food on the right. (The button to activate the recliner is on the inside of the right arm rest. If you want plenty of legroom pick the first row of the elevated (balcony? seating section. MENU There is a menu on a shelf just below the tray for your food. It was appetizers, sandwiches, salads, desserts, beer, wine, and mixed drinks. Also on that tray is a pen, paper (so you can write down your order if you want more than you initially order and a button that you can press to summon your server. They have standard menu items and sometimes they have special events where they have a special menu for that event. SERVICE The service is quick and friendly. Our server showed up shortly after we sat down. While she was kneeling in front of us, entering our order for food and drinks on a tablet, another server brought our drinks before she even finished. FOOD We had salad, chicken fingers, mozzarella sticks, a pretzel, coke, wine and M&Ms. As you can see from the picture the portions were generous. And the food was tasty. MOVIE The movie was in Sony Digital 4K and the sound system was impressive. We saw Oppenheimer. It was supposed to start at 2pm, but like most theaters it started after 15 minutes of Coming Attractions. HOURS OF OPERATION It's hard to say when they're open. On Saturdays and Sundays they have a brunch so they open early. Basically they're open for their first advertised movie of the day which is usually mid-afternoon. SPECIAL EVENTS Besides just movies they also have special events each month. In the lobby they have a calendar showing when those events are. If you want a fun and different movie experience, check this place out!
This was my first time here and I thought they only played indie films but I was pleasantly surprise they also play blockbuster films like Elemental and Barbie coming soon. It's a small theater so easy to navigate. The staff is friendly and people actually clean the theater. It's pretty chill theater and tickets were only $11 on a Saturday afternoon so a lot cheaper than what I've been paying at the bigger theater chains. I really enjoyed the montage they put before the film about movies with similar themes in the movie you are watching. Much better than the ads. Popcorn was just meh. It comes with a lot of popcorn and the the top layer was good but as you migrate towards the end of the bowl, there's just a lack of butter and salt. It is bottomless but don't get it if you're watching a film alone like me. Could not finish it.
It's hard to go back to regular theaters when you can go to one that is full service. If you don't want to order any food at the beginning, that's fine, but maybe halfway through the movie you decide you want some fries or a shake or a whole freaking meal. Just write your order down and click the service button on your table and VOILA they will come quietly to get your order. I love that they have boozy shakes because sometimes I'm not hungry and just want a little treat. I really like The Grasshopper, it's a mint chocolate boozy shake. The seats are recliners and I'm always super comfy there. Also love their strict no texting/talking policy because it really does take me away from the movie when someone is being distracting. I like this location and Westminster. Haven't been to the Sloan's Lake one yet.
I took 2 visiting family members to a movie at Littleton ADC and had a mediocre experience. The theater was very cold and my seat did not recline, so it was difficult to enjoy the feature. When I pointed this out to management, they gave me a card for 1 free popcorn. I have been to 2 local AMC theaters and Movie Tavern in Aurora, and had much better experiences.
