I've been here a few times and haven't been impressed. Place was very busy last night, Friday. However the All you can eat fish fry changed my mind. If this is all they served I would be totally fine and become a regular. The drinks are huge and one was plenty. The price was reasonable. Clams a bit expensive. Haddock was fresh, and you could tell. Onion rings where very good, I hated the French fries. We sat at the b... View all feedback.
What Brady F doesn't like about Mel's:
The food was kinda frozen. Not very good at all. That's the fries at least, the chicken was fine. They changed it and turned it into a Mexican restaurant. It's quite dirty and a little pricy for what your getting, there are sure better places near by. View all feedback.

Never go here. Everything is premade and bland. Worst service ever. Go to the red arrow instead
The worst server ever. We were there for spooky world so you would think they would have extra staff on but they didn 't. It was early and it wasn 't busy yet but it took maybe 20 minutes for the same person who sat us to serve us and was surprised no one else served us when she was the only server in at the moment. Me and my kids ordered water, my boyfriend got a beer and he was the only one to get his drink because the bartender brought it over, after chasing down the server to find out who it was for. They had a limited menu for spooky world and 3 of us ordered sliders which were a cut in half dried up burger with a half slice of unmelted cheese on a bun. One person ordered the chili which was some hamburger and beans in salsa with garlic bread with no actual garlic, just bread slapped with a little butter and parsley. We ordered a basket of fries which never came and we had to remind her of the waters, napkins and she brought plastic utensils but no spoon for the chili . Luckily someone else came on afterward who actually greeted customers and looked like they had actually served before, not that the food was going to be any better. Wish we had just waited for the concessions to open up!
I keep trying to give this place a chance. The food is actually really good! But it obvious that it's not run well. Took forever for our meal, dirty plates, dirty floors. I truly want to like this place. It's close to home and locally owned. But they need to invest in proper management to run the place. I could see this place being amazing.... but it continues to be less than bad.

The gentleman sitting next to us had some issues, but he didn't get the fish fry. I really believe if fish fry where the only item on the menu, his reviews would be better. If you b like haddock, please go on Fridays for the fish fry.
