Chiado Caffe - Lisbon

After reading reviews and being recommended this restaurant, we had high hopes! Food wise we enjoyed the food. The soup was absolutely delicious. The ravioli was good, and the tofu fish dish was decent. The desserts were delicious, but very rich! But I would say the prices are a bit too high for the food, also being in Lisbon. Overall, I would recommend trying the food for a new experience, especially as a lot of it is experimental The main area where we felt we were let down was the front of house service. The lady that was at the front desk was extremely impolite and unfriendly. We definitely felt like we were imposing almost like we were not deserving to be there! Once we sat down it took a very long time to get served, and we had to ask the same lady to ask for a waiter. When doing so, she was also unfriendly, as if we shouldn’t be asking for something. Aside from this, we were served by a couple of different waiters waitresses who were really helpful, friendly and lovely for the rest of the time. Which is why my overall rating is 4*.

Nice vegan restaurant with diverse option to choose from in the center of Lisbon. I had tofu in seaweed and potatoes and greens. Really enjoyed my food and staff was also welcoming. Toasts are quite delicious. Some prices are a bid high though. Nevertheless, would come again here and enjoyed some other dishes.

Had a late night supper at this restaurant recommended by hotel staff. Was impressed with the quality of food prepared in traditional Portuguese dishes. The staff (most of them at least) were very pleasant and bother to explain the dishes when they were served. The restaurant is also very well done up. Keep it up.

Yummy vegan place. We needed to taste all 7 dishes we ordered, sorry for swapping plates all around but it was just too delicious! No excessive single use @TheTrashTraveler APPROVED BTW, when you leave this place, don't throw plastic toxin filled cigarette butts on the ground. Thanks!

I (vegan) was totally thrilled and grateful that I had the opportunity to try the traditional cuisine. The food was super delicious, the Service on point and very kind, informed us about the ingredients, very quick. I had octopus for the first time in my life (never thought about to eat a real one), and it was so tasty. My boyfriend (not vegan) enjoyed it as well and loved especially the Francesinha. I couldn 't believe how tasty it is. I 'll come back for sure.
