spend 2 weeks eating on various islands in Sicily, that was the best restaurant. each court was great, the service was very friendly, seemed to be a large family, but especially the whole dentice (like snapper) grilled simply with olive oil, garlic and lemon. was fantastic. filled inkfish also super. What User doesn't like about Trattoria Da Paolino:
This was by far the worst meal we've had in one week in the Eolian Islands, and the worst I've had in many trips to Southern Italy. After all, in line with the general disappointment about Panarea. The entrée was really nothing special. And both...the involtini di spada and the totano ripieno were disappointing. Nice view on Stromboli though. View all feedback.

Very simple but authentic good eating in this typical trattoria. da paolino has a beautiful terrace with views of the island stromboli. the pasta dishes are delicious and very fresh. the staff is young, friendly and personal. the prices are completely fair and much cheaper compared to the usual...Panarea prices. great value for money! we come back.
We had a delicious dinner and enjoyed a great view at Da Paolina in Panarea. The wait staff were lovely and made us feel very welcome. As we watched Stromboli glow in the distance we enjoyed delicious homestyle cooking the whole sea bass, stuffed...squid, aubergine parmigiana, prawns and tomatoes, and peppers with almonds were stand out. At the end of the evening, the chef/owner greeted all the guests, pulling up a chair and sharing his homemade grappa. It was a perfect end to a lovely, low key evening.
First time we went there they turned us down because we did not prebook. However it was clear many tables would have stayed empty given the late hour. Nonetheless, we thought it was worth going back as the dishes looked really good. We did and...we were happy. Portions were really big and good. You can tell Paulino cooks for passion and not profit.
Excellent restaurant, located in the high town of San Pietro. Very warm welcome, but you should make a reservation ( we didn't, but luckily came early so we had the last table). It is a fish restaurant, so all the dishes have fish except for...one or two vegetarian. We came for the pasta ( we tried the red scorpion pasta and the Paolino pasta with anchovis and pistachios), they where great, and at a real reasonable price for Panarea. We shared also a octopus salad first, and ordered house wine which was nice. We finished with the house desert, also nice. The table next to us tried the fish main courses which looked spectacular (especially the swordfish!). We definitely plan to go back to try them. Paolino comes to each table to great you and ensure that everything was okay. I strongly recommand!
