I have been a fan of aroundi sushi for years. It is not a fancy restaurant, but they serve delicious and fresh sushi. They have four seats available for dining in, but it is recommended to take your sushi to enjoy at a table in the courtyard. The prices are a bit high, around $3.50 for a sushi roll. What User doesn't like about Umi Sushi Bar:
I love sushi. Unfortunately I found Umi Sushi to be just average. Probably the most disappointing of all the sushi places i've been to. Needed more flavour. I don't usually add soy sauce to my sushi, as I find it's not needed, but needed it here. Selection of sushi varieties was on par with most other sushi stores. Not sure why it's popular, I guess lack of nearby sushi places View all feedback.
Cannot beleive how expensive and disappointing this food is. I will never eat at any of their stores, especially Mitcham as they are a complete rip off.

Unfortunately, Umi Sushi is the only sushi bar between Norwood and Unley, and as such, those in Burnside are forced to endure. Never fresh and hardly affordable, this sushi bar somehow manages to deliver on flavour. Try driving over to the Parade, there will be much better options.
Despite the (well deserved ) reputation for snobbery (and tree murder!) that Burnside Village has gotten, these is some good food to be had there. The gourmet store has a nice range of treats that, although not the cheapest, actually represent some value for money due to the overall quality of the produce. Such is not the case with Umi Sushi, unfortunately. Overpriced, and even then some of the worst sushi I've eaten in Adelaide. The shop itself is clean and pleasant and the staff are excellent in terms of service but there is little to choose from (especially for vegos) compared to other sushi bars and the food simply isn't worth the money. Rent would be pretty darn expensive I guess, but I'm disappointed that this average-at-best store is using the gourmet prices found all over Burnside to hawk their (sub)standard fare. Avoid anythingcontaining dairy products such as cream cheese or mayonnaise because it'll be overloaded with the stuff...somebody's overzealous with the squeezy bottle...
OMG WOW!! I haven't heard of the Black Dog Gallery, but thankfully an awesome group decided to meet their for brunch today.
