We went on New Year's Day and had the New Year's Day special. We had the pozole soup, beef medallions with stuffed shrimp and chocolate lava cake. Everything was excellent we enjoyed it a great deal.I especially appreciated everything being delivered piping hot to the table. I thought the beef medallions were the star of the show. What Harrison Lee doesn't like about Thunder Cafe:
The French Dip Sandwich wasn't the juicy, medium, thin sliced prime rib sandwich I was expecting. Unfortunately, it was sitting under heating lamp that left the roast beef dry flavorless. Soaking in the dip didn't help. Order the Fish n' Chips instead. View all feedback.

Waited 30 minutes in line outside the restaurant in front of the take out bakery and there were only 6 people in line. One person working that was struggling and when I spoke to the manger , she could care less. Would NEVER go there again.

The prices are reasonable on the food is good. They start serving the prime rib at 4 PM and they sell out fast! It's excellent.
Thunder Cafe is located in the Thunder Valley Casino Resort. We settled for eating here because The Buffet is CLOSED. Casino staff stated The Buffet closed in March 2024. Oh, we were disappointed. Anyway, we tried Thunder Cafe. The atmosphere was nice. Our server was friendly. My husband ate the blackened salmon with Jasmine rice and vegetables. I ate the firecracker shrimp with Jasmine rice and vegetables. Husband stated the salmon was good. He doesn’t say too much so choose the salmon dish at your own risk. ?There was nothing firecracker about the firecracker shrimp. If you looking for spicy firecracker shrimp go to the Panda Express at the food court in the casino. The Jasmine rice and vegetables were good. The shrimp was covered in a creamy yellow sauce that tastes a little like sweet chili sauce added to it. Not quite sure.The little sweet shop in the front of the cafe is delightful. The red velvet cake covered in chocolate is the best. ?
