Best Indian restaurant by far. The food has been consistently good over many years. While the restaurant itself was a little quiet the food is still amazing, great service and fabulous location. View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Eastern Tandoori:
Unfortunately, Eastern Tandoori has lost its former charm. Once a highly esteemed Indian restaurant, it has now become average at best. The service was disappointing; the waiter took a long time to clear away empty plates. When the food arrived, it was placed on the table haphazardly. The food itself was just okay. My dish was advertised as mild, but it lacked any spice whatsoever. To top it off, the beer came in a b... View all feedback.
Brilliant location, opposite the opera house and looking out over the river Lee. Selection of food is good and flavour of 10/10. Great stop for our first night in Cork.
Fantastic food and excellent service. Group of 10 friends turned up on spec and were happily accommodated. Food was tasty and hot , portion sizes really large. Toilets quite shabby and require some updating If ever in Cork again would visit
We have been dining at this restaurant for the past fifteen years, but after the disrespectful treatment we received from the manager last night, we have decided not to return. The manager should improve his manners and learn how to communicate with paying customers. A similar altercation with other customers occurred last week, indicating that this may be a frequent occurrence.
To double-check the numbers, I showed the bill to another customer and asked if they could determine if a certain digit was a zero or an eight. Even they were unsure. I insisted to the staff member that instead of being defensive, they should address the problem by fixing the printer. However, he continued to argue that the calculation was correct and that the issue was with me. I explained that I was not questioning the accuracy of the bill, but rather the clarity of the printing which was causing confusion. It was clear to me that some of the staff members lacked basic etiquette and customer service skills. It is important to train your staff to treat customers with respect and not to be dismissive or hostile towards them. Additionally, I found it off-putting that water and napkins were not automatically offered to customers, but rather had to be requested. It's small gestures like these that can make a big difference in the overall dining experience. Overall, I was disappointed with the lack of professionalism and manners displayed by some of the staff members at this restaurant.
This restaurant in Cork, once known for being one of the best Indian restaurants, is now unrecognizable. The food, service, and decor are all terrible. It is shabby, worn out, and the staff are rude.
