I decided to take all my meals at this restaurant which forms part of the hotel throughout my stay at the hotel. I normally don't do this but I had no regrets as the food at this restaurant meets any standard you seek outside. The kitchen is open plan, so you will see the chef fix your meal. The staff are very nice and efficient too. What Belle Heller doesn't like about Restaurant Quimera:
The restaurant was almost empty. We had as starters the Guinea pig foie gras, which was good and the chicken soup resulting average. As main dishes the beef resulting tasty and fish that was too salty. Dessert was too small and consisted of pistaccio and chocolate. The service esa good, but the food esa way too average for the price that you pay. I would rather go to another restaurant, payed about 50 dollars per per... View all feedback.
I stayed at this hotel and thoroughly enjoyed the breakfast. There were multiple egg selections, grilled vegetables and chicken, fresh fruit, nice breads and cheese. They have a lot of additions to their 103 calorie flavored yogurt. Coffee was excellent. I returned to the restaurant for dinner, which is fine dining. I did not find sandwiches/salads on the menu. Consequently, I returned to my room and ordered room service, which was very reasonable.
It's difficult to compete in Lima, but I can say this place is a runner up.Modern,imagitavive.Worth visiting if you come to Lima frequently. The Paiche Tiradito is well conceived and entrees me and my family had were good.Worth the price.
The service was attentive and the atmosphere was chic, but the food did not live up to our expectations. I tried the cuyo and it was barely edible. The desserts weren't fantastic either. Much better places to try in Lima.
The food surpassed my expectations. Hugo, the Executive Chef, is always there and you can see the kitchen staff in action all the time because of the huge glass wall that separates the kitchen from the Main room. I tried 5 dishes, all of them were delicious! I totally recommend this place. It's worth the money!
We came here for a romantic dinner and tried the 8 course meal. The kitchen is all open so you can see what goes on behind the scene.Every dish was rich with flavour and a real unique mix of different Peruvian/fusion ideas like guinea pig (cuy) foie gras or rabbit with chocolate sauce with cheese risotto. Sounds strange, but it's good.Definitely worth it and recommend for a romantic gourmet meal in Lima.
