Kukui's On Kalapaki Beach - Lihue

Definitely recommend breakfast at this place. Acai bowl and avocado toast were amazingly delicious, perhaps the best I have ever had. Eggs were ok. Excellent service at breakfast. Lunches and dinners are ok at best though. tasty but overpriced compared to others in the same category. They serve food in a box for an on-site dinner probably due to covid. In-room dinner worked out better than on-site dinner at this place.

Great location with pool side bar. Priced a little high but it has to be because it’s located on a resort. Drinks are awesome. Fried chicken wings are super yummy but you get 4 for $15. My bars girls tonight were super sweet and wonderful. My Mai Tai’s were more than just juice like most places.

We had several meals at Kukui's during our stay there, a breakfast, quite a few lunches and snacks, and one or two dinners by the nice fires. The big standouts for us were a grilled Mahi Mahi dish with fried rice for dinner and the pot stickers as a lunch or snack.

Although breakfast is high (plan to spend about $70 when both people get a coffee and a meal) eating is excellent. since we ordered the eggs benedict, we can't stop thinking about it. also the portions are a good size. for dinner they have GF-Backs, which is always a plus! our meals were tasty and quick. all barkeepers are great, but tyrones' happier demon makes it an even better experience.

My family and I celebrated the Mother's Day brunch together at kukui. it's been for over 7 years since we dropped there. it was another great experience with my family. the service was outstanding eating was delicious! the ambiente was beautiful with table runners, designed with roses with heart-size vases, which kept fresh roses in them. mahalo nui for all who work there, this experience is one that I will forever appreciate with my family.
