Try the beef stroganoff crepe if you want a tasty dinner. Soups are wonderful. We 've tried several including mushroom chestnut, squash and pear. All are made from scratch. The owners are friendly, hard-working and very eager to please customers. Beseme has been open for just about two years now and the food is just wonderful. Prices are reasonable. What Alex doesn't like about Beseme:
Beseme has a lovely ambience, but little else by which to recommend it. The $18 Morroccan Shepard 's Pie looked intriguing enough on the menu. It was to consist of ground lamb, spinach, and mashed sweet potatoes. There was no spinach in my order, and when I inquired, the waitress didn 't know whether spinach was supposed to be part of the dish. Beseme is a charming, little restaurant in Historic Lewes, Delaware. The decor is warm and inviting. The menu is filled with lots of exceptional choices including a lovely Spinach Salad with Poppy seed dressing. They have a small bites menu that includes mouthwatering Crispy Scallops with wasabi mayo and Chunky Eggplant sticks with the most delicious sauce. Their main dishes include a Beef Stroganoff crepe with mushrooms, burgundy sauce and sour cream and served with baby carrots and haricots verts. Their lemon crepe dessert is extra lemony and goes well with a great cup of tea or coffee. The entertainment consists of many well known locals, including Ed Shockley. The music is not too loud, which makes the meal very enjoyable. There is a small, charming bar that is enjoyed by locals and tourists alike. During the winter months, it is a cozy respite from dark chilly nights at the beach. During the tourist season, it is a lively, upbeat place to enjoy.
There is a bartender/part-owner (young man) here who on several occasions has been inexcusably rude. Most of my friends agree they will never spend their money in Beseme.

She asked the chef and came back with some cockamamie excuse about how the lamb had been cooked with spinach. Spinach isn 't an oil or a seasoning, it is a vegetable and a listed component of the dish. In any event, there was no essence of spinach in the dish.
