Leura Village Takeaway

Not much to look at - can be even a little foreboding.....but if you are on a budget and looking for value for money then this is the place. Reasonably priced and tastes surprisingly great, Helpful and friendly staff make your ordering process enjoyably simple. You are able to pay by Eftpos. The burgers and chips are my pick but they have a small range of Asian meals as well.When you are done then take in the mountain air and wonder through the many local shops catering to a variety of designer tastes.If you can avoid driving to Leura on the weekend the more pleasant your day will be.Use the train or tourist bus facilities for a stress free trip.

We happened to walk past this take away shop today at Leura. Tried the seafood family pack for $25, both seafood and chips came nicely cooked. The portions were XL for the price we paid. We had the couple cooked for us, they were polite and friendly.

Prob worse chips I have eaten from a chip shop. Saw them being fried but tasted fired out like oven chips. Fish just ok- children's burger and fish cake almost inedible. Took ages for order to come tho I suspect it had been waiting for a while. Staff seemed a little vague as to who was doing what and they all appeared to be in their teens. Will not be back.

The fish 'n chips were well cooked with fine fish. The chips were "okay" but nothing special. It seemed to us a bit odd that small packets of ketchup and tarter sauce had to be paid for separately--rather than being provided. It just felt like an attempt to extract every available penny from the customer.

We wanted some simple takeaway to take back to our holiday house and headed to the Leura Village Takeaway. Food was quick and very nice.
