Fairways restaurant - Leura

Worth a visit to taste the great food and relaxing atmosphere. Really good service and lovely ambience.

We waited over 50 minutes for 2 x meals. Pizza was soggy and tasteless, chicken wings were grey and way undercooked. It was our last resort of places to eat in the resort but wished we drove 5 mins into Leura were there are nice places to eat.

Saturday night and waited almost 50 mins for 2 mains to arrive. Food was OK but not huge servings. Convenient if you don't want to leave the resort or pay the big bucks in the resort but next time we will probably just drive the 4 mins into Leura and have Thai.

Went there for lunch as the nearby Fairmont did not offer lunchOnly 6 in our party - ordered at the bar pub style then we waited ( and waited) and waited Eventually the buzzer went off for my meal (long after the others) - a dry burger with little in the way of sauce (BBQ of course!)The salt shaker in the pickup counter was a solid block of salt - I asked if they had another and was told there was plenty on the tables...Our friends ordered a simple sandwich and was still waiting for it after all other meals were finished..

Went across to the golf club for a meal on one of the nights that we stayed at the Fairmont resort.We arrived at 7.45pm, only to find out after ordering that the meals that we wanted (steak) was not available as they had run out. The alternative offered was an overcooked/burnt chicken parmigiana and a very ordinary nachos.
