The shepherds pie was delicious and buttery, but could have used more meat. However, the real highlight was the pastie, which had a perfect balance of flavors thanks to the addition of tomato paste. Overall, a tasty meal worth trying. View all feedback.
What Arno Wiza doesn't like about Bakehouse on Wentworth Leura:
Plenty of great pies - just took 30 mins standing in a long queue waiting to get to them! Shop is woefully understaffed with lovely but inexperienced young people who seemed confused/unable to deal with take away vs sit down customers during the peak lunch hour. A number of people left the queue. Hoping next time will be a better experience. View all feedback.

As a pie enthusiast, these were the best pies we have ever tasted. They were rich, generous, and delicious! The pastry had the perfect amount of crispiness, butteriness, and fluffiness. We tried the Chicken, mushroom, and leek; cheese, steak, and bacon; Lentil and pumpkin; and Mince and mashed potato pies.
I had the best pie ever at this restaurant. I tried their chicken, leek, and mushroom pie and my partner tried the beef, bacon, and cheese pie. Both were delicious and highly recommended. We will definitely be back to try other flavors and maybe some bread to go.
Quality and authentic pies with crispy short crust pastry. Really enjoyed the lamb and rosemary with sneaky peas, the steak, bacon and cheese and chicken, mushroom and leek pie. Never been to a pie shop that actually has quality chunks of veggies/meat in yummy sauce. Definitely my favourite leura shop to eat at! Although tables weren't wiped down but much more worthwhile eating in then taking out since pies are better eaten on plates since they're packed with goodness!
Wholesome pies with generous size and great taste. We tried the chicken leak, the tender steak and gravy, and the pepper steak which were both delicious. One plus point is they leave complimentary large bottles of tomato sauce on dining table, not like other places which charge 50 cents for those small packets. Pretty efficient staff as well.
