Beautiful sunny terrace.Excellent service- friendly, enthusiastic and humorous.Good menu.Good food.Disappointing that the 3 prime deserts had run out- but given how good they lived pled, I can say I was surprised. Our waitress told us to reserve the tarts at the start of the meal - good tip!The crepes were a good substitute. This will become a regular for us View all feedback.
What Fritiof Johansson doesn't like about Le Coeur de Cristal:
This is located in the pistes of Meribel . You can reach it by skiing or walking. The location is fantastic and if the weather permits it, sitting outside is a must. Food is good, anything from burgers and salads to real meals. Service is ok when they finally have time for you as they are very stressed which brings a negative first impression. View all feedback.

We stopped off in the glorious afternoon sunshine for a few drinks and to listen to the live music, which was excellent. The drinks were expensive but it is an on mountain location so we expected that. Had a lovely hour or so and asked for bill and waitress came over, was dancing away while we got our card out and then owners, we presume (man and woman) came across gesturing and shouting in french at the waitress. They grabbed the card machine off her, stomped off and returned with another card machine, still shouting at her. Not appropriate behaviour in front of customers who are spending a lot of money in your establishment- left a very sour taste!
Pumping music from this mountain restaurant as you come down to Meribel on the last run of the day.
We tried this restaurant again this year after two years of slow service. Unfortunately this year was worse. The restaurant pretends to be high quality with reasonably expensive prices. On booking you are reminded of their two sittings at lunch and again on arrival told that you must leave before the second sitting. We were two families making a table for 10 people. After a 15 minute wait we finally managed to order drinks, however one was missed and needed ordering 3 times. Two of the main courses didn't arrive despite chasing 3 times, 2 of the times by going to the front desk as there were no waiters in our area of the restaurant. The missing dishes finally arrived when all other 8 people had finished. Another 30 minutes passed before the plates were finally cleared. Again, no sign of any service for dessert menus, so fed-up we left without bothering with dessert snacks and coffee. We were offered one of the late dishes for free when they finally , which was a weak effort, improving the service so we had a complete meal would have been the real answer. A very unsatisfactory meal with everyone feeling as though the meal was incomplete and dragged out. 90 minutes for one main course per person is way too slow, despite the restaurant pretending everything needed to be rushed for their two hour time slot. This restaurant is very pretentious but cannot deliver a basic level of service. There are plenty of other great restaurants on the mountain to choose from instead.
Visited twice while skiing in Meribel, you can't beat sitting outside in the sun (well one of the visits anyway lol) The food was very good, I had the lobster salad on one of the visits and a burger on the second visit. Other members had king prawn salads and steaks, all were very nice. The wine list was excellent and as the name suggest the only champagne served was Cristal. This again isn't a cheap restaurant lunch for 2 with wine was around €150.I would definitely recommend it though.
